unorthodox swapping question
hello all, long time reader, first time caller. i just joined today, and i figured that i'd pose some questions i've been wondering for a while. i have a 1990 Mits. Sigma, and i've tried to scour for information about it for a couple years. does anyone know how similar it is to Galants of similar years, as i'd like to do some suspension and braking upgrades, and it seems more likely that i'd find galant stuff over sigma parts.

i also wanted to know how similar the 6g72 block in my car is to say the '72 tt versions in the 3000gt and stealth. is it possible to get just the shortblock and convert my engine over, or would it make more sense to start with a complete engine [if it would fit in the first place]. i'd definitely like to swap something in a little better than the 3.0 SOHC, but i really don't know what engines would fit [with ease, that is]. thanks in advance for any help anybody might be able to offer.

unorthodox swapping question
Happy to answer any questions you may have but a Sigma is kind of an unfamiliar car. So far, i think they are a v6 galants just rebodied. As for the engine swap, You should be able to do an engine swap from the 3000gt. 91-93 3000gt's would be the most logical choice since the ECU's are OBDI and the the engine bay may be similiar. You'll have to do a complete swap though. That includes tranny and everything down to the motor-mounts. I hope this helps out some...check out TheGalantCenter.com to see if they have any info.
