old forum user new to this one

Wife still drives a 94 KS Verada 6g72 160k just put 2nd belt and seals in due to age and belt still looked new.
Daughter has an MK triton which had a $900 full service, (previous owner had every receipt for every 10k service and anything else.) with only 100k on it we bought it and the bastards didn't replace the the cam or crank seals.
Didn't slow leak over a while, the original crank seal was so brittle it just let go about 110k. So I did the lot even though the water pump had been done it was the cheapest one you could get so I replaced it as well as the seals. Belt was a good one.
Bought son a 96 MK triton 4g64 as a learner which had a few issues, flooding at start up, which was temp sensor and couple of tricky wiring issues all sorted. Joined due to weird timing issue before I pull things apart.

I'm Dave from Oregon. Long time Montero drive, started with a 1987 (sold 20 years ago and still regret it) and currently driving a 2001 Sport Limited. Hoping one day to get another one from the 84-89 era and relive my youth.

New to the forum but not. Mitsus

Hello,

Not new to Mitsubishis but new to this forum.

I was into drag racing a while back and was an active member on DSMtuners forum. I have had many 1G turbo DSM ( too many to count) and a couple Stations/conquest back in late 90's to late 2000s.

got into drifting so no more Mitsu and move to Toyota as a base

I just recently got back into Mitsubishi cars after returning to US. I am located in Southern Indiana / Louisville Kentucky area and I have an 2013 Outlander SE and 2003 Montero limited project car I recently purchased.

Look forward to talking and meeting some of yall.

First post, but not new to Outlander

Hi all.
We've just purchased our 2nd Outlander, a 2014 with V6. Our old Outlander, a 2006 served us for over 8 years, but the last wind storm (Nov 2022) it was the victim of a fallen tree.
I'm a retired auto mechanic, budding photographer and provide support for members in my FB Keto group since an autoimmune disease sent me into early retirement, now past that but love being retired.
Our 2014 Outlander, one owner, 78,000 kms, owned by a little old lady on Gabriola Island is now the newest member of our family. I've not got any real issues with it, mostly questions as the owner's manual didn't come with the car, but I've got most of it figured out, I'll post late with specific questions.
Richard

Hey all, i switched from ford to Mitsubishi this past year as a dealer tech. My main objective is to answer technical questions while learning more about the mits community. I'd be happy to be of service to any and all!

HeyHey :)
I don't usually think about joining any forums but I just bought my first Mitsubishi aka first SUV and I am loving it so much! It's a 2019 Outlander, just the 2.4L base model - I am planning to beef it up a little here and there as I go. I came across this forum while looking for ideas, and decided to join, seeing as theres lots of info and resources shared here (unlike where I live, because Mitsubishi isnt as common in my neck of the woods!). Anyway, I look forward to learning lots and hey thanks for letting me be part of this awesome community! <3

01 Montero Sport 3.0, hello people

Halfway through complete tranny overhaul after Sun gears pretty much melted all the teeth off. Bought for $500 at auction and drove for 2 years before tranny blew, I love it so overhaul it is.

After the overhaul, I’m throwing in a TD-04 turbo with 6-8 pounds of boost.

Reside in West Wales, bought myself 2009 2.0 litre diesel beginning of May, billy basics in the spec department, already covered 2,000 miles, am very happy with the car. Will probably start asking questions when I start scratching my head.

Monty66 06-29-2023 03:56 PM

How do you do? I'm the family mechanic. I'm here to help my SIL fix his 2011 Galant with 100K+ miles on it. He's trying to take care of it, but it's getting old and problems are getting a little harder to diagnose and troubleshoot. Hoping the forums can help us.

Thanks!

Helllo, I am here looking for victims of Victory Mitsubishi in the Bronx New York. I am trying to put together a class action lawsuit for scam victims.Mitsubishi is allowing them to continue to scam people while using the Mitsubishi name.

Hello to all, first time mitsubishi owner

I bought my first Montero and it happens to be an 1985 2dr 1.8l. It has been in a California farm its whole life as a irragation vehicle not sure what that means but we will find out when it gets here.
Its got some mechanical issues but starts and runs in 4wd only, but it has the straightest body I could not find a single dent on it.
very excited about the car, if the 4 cylinder dose not work out I have plans instore.
Looking forward to sharing and learning with the montero/pajero crew.

new to me purchase - 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander - bluetooth no longer working

Hi everyone,
New here :). Just bought a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander LS - about 5 yr ago the previous owner swapped out the stereo for the MMCS, bought the bluetooth module etc.
He told me about 8 mths ago the steering wheel functions stopped working. He's tried resetting, everything possible.
Any ideas what might be going on before I tear into this clueless?
I've watched some vids. I understand how it all works.
thank you in advance!!!
