Default Input Please: GT35R or GT40?

Alright so basically I am finally starting to get the parts together to begin the winter build on my car. I am meeting a guy this weekend to buy his never before used GT35R but now I am having second thoughts. I am wondering if I should go with a GT40R instead. I am going to be running a 8.5:1 Compression Stroked 46g3 with all fuel and ignition support of course.

I am going to be driving the car on the street more than the track. The car may see the track a couple times but I am not trying to race the thing. It is not a daily driver by any means though. It will be driven in the evenings and the weekends at max.

Basically, in short, my question is for people out there that actually know what they are talking about when it comes to turbos, hopefully from experience... Will the GT40R be too much for my engine in regards to lag? I know I will have no problem with the GT35R but the bigger turbo is tempting...

Someone tell me I am retarded and to just go with the GT35R...

BAH

Also, I don't claim to be a genius on turbos so I am going to ask a stupid question... I understand that a .82 A/R is larger than a .62 A/R but what exactly does that mean? I understand what A/R is (the area of the cone to radius from center hub) but I do not understand the up and downsides to both. Do I want the larger ratio? or the smaller?

No, I am not afraid of working myself up to a certain point with the gt35r and then swapping it out. 700 is the ultimate goal... it's one of those goals you don't really cry about not hitting. 600 is more reasonable. Who knows, I don't know what I want.

HAHAHAHA ok.

Well put it this way the 35R is rated to 500ish hp... so take that into consideration. Keeping in mind its better to have a little left in the turbo rather than running the turbo at max output constantly.

Yea, Yea... you're preaching to the choir. So tell me, do you think I could run a GT40R? Because I really have my doubts. I guess the main reason is because I know Shep has a GT42R and he runs 55psi and somewhere around 1400hp. I just feel like an idiot thinking I could run 1 stage below him (per say) and still drive my car on the road.
