Question on boost gauge hook up
Here is what I hope is a simple question for most of you that know about turbos but I'm asking just to make sure since I'm new at this turbo stuff.
The facts:
97' Eclipse GST
T3 turbo with External WG
aftermarket Boost Gauge with hose connection
The question:
My wastegate has a side port and top port connection.
My first question is where do these connect to?
And second, where do you hook the boost gauge hose to?
I have a pretty good Idea where to hook all this up to but I'm not 100% sure. So any and all info would be great.
Thanks

RE: Question on boost gauge hook up
I don't know, but I know about the boost guage, all you do is tap the hose for the electronic sensor into the hose that runs from the intake manifold to the solenoid that controls the fuel pressure regulator, go to prostreetonline.com and it will tell you how under how tos

RE: Question on boost gauge hook up
Has anyone had any experience with ball and spring type boost controllers? I bought one off of ebay that has an electronic bypass valve so you can go from your stock setting to what ever you've set the boost control at. It dosent make sense to me though. It says when you flip the switch it 'opens' the bypass valve letting you go from stock boost to what you've set. But that side that you 'open' doesnt have the adjustment for boost control on it. If it opens then it would be letting what ever the pressure is in your system go through thus setting your boost at what your spring is plus the pressure coming to it. It would all make sense if the valve closed instead of opening. Then with it closed, the air would be forced to go through the ball and spring side. But my problem with understanding how it works is that it says it 'opens' to allow more boost. What do ya'll think?
I have it hooked up to a T3 turbo with external wastegate and routed like a normal boost controller would be.
