they are all differnt types of turbos thats all.

The 16G can make 350-390 WHP depending on if it is a Big or small 16G and it is IMO the best of the mitsu turbos.
The 20G is yet another mitsu comes stock on 2006 EVO IX makes alot of power but has been said to be weak and break kinda easy. (not sure if that is true)

The T25 is JUNK it is very inefficent only makes like 230WHP and breaks easily and cant run much boost before being maxed out.
The T3 and T4 are similar to a 16/20G I guess they make alot of power and are nice turbos

hey emonz i like the way you broke that down but there are many many like over 40 different turbos for a dsm that i have seen and i have no idea one from the other.i think it would be great if someone could list all known turbos in the format emonz posted that would be sweet, also to help me decide cause im pretty clueless when it comes to that and im not afraid to admit it lol

lol you beat me to it.

Also for the t3-t4... their different trims of garret turbos... basically its just a different style of flanges, also a million different types of trim's.

this site explains alot http://www.forcedinductions.com/help.htm

Ya slow I was trying to keep it simple.

NOW for your car it all depends what $$$ you have and what you want for the HP. Most FWD DSMers stick with a 16G and get 300-400WHP and have fun with that. a 16G is very strong and a big 16G can see 22-23 maybe even 24 PSI effeciently and it is a very good turbo for street driving it sppol fast and makes good power.

a GT35r is the opposite, in order to run this you need a full turbo setup with manifold, o2 housing, custom downpipe and exhaust (if you want bigger than 3inch) Lots of fuel and tunning a built motor if you want to "use" it to its potencial. The 35r gets full boost at about 4000 give or take and ive seen some run upwards of 35-40PSI on them and EVOs run 9.8s in the 1/4 mile it is not great for street drving and requires a lot of money to get it running safley but if you have the money it is the best of the best.

Keep in mind clutch and other things are also needed.

But if it were me the big16G is a great turbo other wise save and go 35r but if your FWD you will never see traction im sure

10's... Most likely. You don't have a light car so you have to make up for that with pure power. Think about hte old sports cars with thier huge 440 and 427 V8's. The cars were monstrously heavyu and needed the power to get them going that fast. Now stick on of those beast engines in your little eclipse and you'll be in the 7's or 8's with only a partial build on the engine LOL.
