Whats up guys, I might be a bit late on this but I jus found out that the 2007 WRX STi no longer gets 300 hp and 300 lb-ft. Instead, it receives 293 hp and 290 lb-ft. Also gets peak torque at 4,400 RPM's instead of the normal 4,000 RPM's. Alot of guys I met that don't own STi's but love em always brag that the evo only has 276/286 hp and STi come out with 300. I jus wonder what they're goanna say now. lol

why does it matter when the 05 and 06 EVOs have less power and are faster
and the EVO has much better handling.
what a bunch of newbs lol HP ratings mean nothing. The EVO IX is rated at 286hp and runs 12.89 1\4 the STi is rated at 300ho and runs 13.2-13.4 hmmmmm ill let them have 20 extra HP
Not to mention our motors are good up to about 510AWHP there motors start to crack piston ringlands at around 400HP so with bolt ons and cams there motor is to the breaking point.

lol dont worry I know better than anyone else that hp means nothing. I was saying it as a joke cause people that don't know any better are quick to claim the STi jus because of the difference in hp compared to the evo. where I live, I get lots of hater crap from people that don't own evo's. And as you said evos are faster anyway but it's funny to me now cause they can't say that the sti got 300 any more.
