Is their a law that you need air bags in a car? Because I should have $1000 somthing with in a week and was thinking of getting rid of all the pannles and dash board and stuff kind of like a nascar and buyingrollbars, racing steering wheel,and racing seats with that money.So the air bags would be gone then. Do I need them by law or is their no law?

 

The law states that the car must be factory equiped... but you can take them out. Sounds like you are going to race the car.... so wouldnt air bags be a good idea?

 

Depends if you plain on crashing the car

Theres a ton of cars without them.. They should give you any problem with that..

 

when i worked as an emissions and inspection mechanic in PA, we had a few customers who were college kids, driving 'totaled" cars...and they were totaled because the airbags had deployed...they just cut them out and fixed the dash the best that they could, and they DID pass PA safety inspection.
