Default ARG!

This is not much of a question, but more of a rant.

I LOVE my Gs-T. I bought it a month ago and it handles great, is fast as all hell, and it's such a nice car.
Except I've been having so many problems!! GAH! I've had to replace belts, hoses, Head Gasket and everything that goes with it, Old filter too dirty and was killing gas milage, put on new filter and now i have horrible turbo lag, and now today!
My buddy was test driving my car and stalled it. no big woop! But when he went to turn the car back on, it would start! i was like wtf?
I killed the battery the other day by leaving my lights on all day [:'(] and had to get it jumped. I drove the car around for 30 minutes and it was fine after that. But today we had to jump start the car. Drove the car around for 15 minutes and parked it. AFter work, ya!, had to jump start it again. Drove teh car around for a good solid 40 minutes and drove home. Got home, let the turbo timer do it's thing, and then turned off the car. Tried to turn on the car 5 minutes later and it did. But about 4 hours later it wouldn't restart. So now it's stuck in my drive way. The lights in the car still work, the dash lights work, but the engine just wont turn over! I looked in the battery and the water is low, so i hope that it's just that and not the alternator.
I heard when a car stalls the alternater spring gets stuck, so one has to bang the alternator to get it to work again. Tomorrow i'm going to fill up the battery terminals with distilled water and give the alternator a good whack. Hopefully that will do it cause i can't afford an alternator right now and really need my car to work.

I'm really close to getting fed up. I'm so tired of putting money into this car just to have something else stop working.

anybody have this problem in teh past? What do you think i should do?

Its deff not the altinator, batterys have two different types of powerl, reserve min's and cranking amps. In my 420a i did a batt reloaction to the trunk and I currently use a 1000cca(cold cranking amp) and 150rm(reserve min) marine batter. One day I was driving around an my batt light came on and I know that it couldent be the batt, I was about 40 min from home. I got home and the belt for my altinator shreaded off. In shot what I am hinting at is its your Battery, head out to pepboys or autozone and get a gelcell batt, that thing will last forever and a day.

Yeah dude sounds like a battery problem. If it were the alternator it wouldn't stay runing the 40 min drive home. The battery would have ddied long before then and without the alternator to crank out juice the car would have died too. That's the great thing about standard trans PUSH START!!! lol Never worry about a dead battery again. Leave the lights on? Push her a few feet get her rolling and drop into 1st with the key on BOOM you're running. Not the SMOOTHEST start but she'll go.

well im not sure if you knew this but,it does tell you if you have a bad alternator or not,get the car running, and disconnect the battery,if the car stalls, you need an alternator, good luck with that thing man
