here comes another Ron beating...
ok let me first apolagize to Mike b/c i know he's gonna be pissed as he always is when i post an interest in another car other than the EVO lol j/k man.
there is a 98 GSX for sale right now in MD. it's got a 2.3l stroker fully built w/ lightened crank, JE pistons (8.5), eagle rods, clevit bearings, cometic head gasket, 1mm oversized ferra valves, dual valve springs, hks 727 cams, ported E3B16g, and dsm link 2.5... it's got a shot CPS (or so they say) and only asking 5k for it.... now i know i've been EVO happy for the last few months but if i can't afford an EVO for another year or so... this would get me around just fine until then. what do you think?

2.3l stroker for 5g's?? it's got many more suporting mods. all i'd have to do is upgrade the injectors, throw a FP3065 on there, fix the CPS problem and bam, i'm 550whp....... mike i know you love the EVO's and hate to see me get anything but an EVO but please don't be bias in your thoughts and advise here.... i could be like your lil brother HAHA little ron w/ his awd turbo'd eclipse and BIG MIKE w/ his 03 EVO pushin his 500whp lol

Seb - problem w/ it not running is a CPS. simple fix.
Emonz - i know that kinda threw me off also but w/ injectors, turbo and a tune that thing could be a beast. also, i completey agree w/ the gauges and rims... hideous!!!!!!! and it will eventuall be painted, i hate that green color. I've got a color scheme but duno how it would look.

i think i'm gonna list my bike for sale and use that money to pay for most of it. i requested 2 or 3 uner the hood shots of the car, if it all looks good i'm gonna do it!!1

If it still has a 7 bolt bottom and stroked, then yes, it does has a cam angle sensor and crank angle sensor. Here's the catch...you'll have to remove the upper/lower timing cover, remove the intake cam sprocket and I believe the crank pulley/dampener (I can't remember if I did that or not anymore) just to get to those two items. The cam sensor is behind the intake cam..duh and the crank sensor is on the crank..duh, lol. It's a quick fix once you remove the driver's wheel and inner fender well cover, the acc belts, covers, pulley and sprocket.....and if the cam sensor isn't the problem...you will be pissed to have gone through all that work. Not at all a simple fix IMO.
I recommend asking if it's the 7 bolt bottom...they never stated that it has a 6 bolt stroker and anyone with a 6 bolt will quickly and gladly tell you that it has had a 6 bolt swap.
Ask how and why "they" think it to be the cam sensor. Ask and find out what is the issue...won't start, won't crank, no spark, no fuel, and why they didn't just have it fixed...blah, blah.
Otherwise, I like it and approve, lol.
Oh yeah, it looks like the driver's side door handle was broken, there seems to be a black one in place.
