Default Need Advice on Using Heat Shrink Braided Sleeving for Engine Bay Wiring

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on protecting and cleaning up my engine bay wiring. I’ve heard a lot of good things about heat shrink braided sleeving, but I’m not totally sure how it compares to standard loom or split conduit. I want something that looks clean, resists abrasion, and handles high temperatures well.

Does it shrink tightly enough to stay in place without adhesive? Also, how do you size it correctly for your wires or hoses?

Any tips, recommendations, or photos of installs would be super helpful.
