Obummer? Obama?
SO its over (FINALLY)
Who is feeling what at this point? Personally I am just happy to see Bush take a hike I didnt care who won. The one annoying thing to me is all the young blacks on the TV bumpin and grindin like they at da club lol and wearing T Shirts that say "my President is Black" I mean WTF lol when I wear a My Pres is white shirt I better not hear a word from them ever again , ya know. just wanna slap them and say get a clue , dont be proud because he is 50% of something when there is 50% going the other way lol. Its just funny to me how someone who is 50% black and 50% white is defined as black, how does that work? I have a Brother in law who is 50% black and a neice (just born today BTW) who is25% black yet I wouldnt call them black, unless im jokingaround withthem or whatever. Of course he does the same, Jokeing at thier wedding saying the Groom on top of the cake was looking a little white. Funny thing is when it come right down to it my Grandfather is 100% Portuguese is has a MUCH darker complection than my brother in law.
I hope obama provides change as he promises. The country does need something. I didnt end up voting today because I was still in the middle. I really just didnt care. I should have went and wrote in like Hulk Hogan or something but i was leaning toward Mccain earlierin the race more recently I started to sway to the middle to the point I just wanted either. Lets hope we see some of our countries Financail Debt turn around and the economy raises itself. Its a start Bush is out lol
I am just wondering what will Racism have to say or do with this at this point? How many POS whites voted soley to keep obama out and that is all, and how many blacks voted for Obama only because he is half Black? Will someone southern Racist redneck try to hit Obama? I mean I lived down south and they are Crazy.

RE: Obummer? Obama?
I am actually disapointed but not surprised that obama won since mos of the polls indicated he would. And i really dont understand why so many people hate on bush as much as they do. He really doesnt have a ton of power to make all the problems we have today. If anything we should be hating on the congress over the past 2 years.
I think its kinda funny that 2-4 years ago the economy was at its highest ever Bush's popularity was at its highest point with the re-election, and then 2 years later we are now here with everyone hating bush because the economy is bad...and the only thing that has changed is that democrats were voted into congress. We had a congress that was almost split down the middle and then we made democrats the majority. Then the economy went to crap because they did not do one thing. And they are the ones that make all the decisions. And i find it asstonishing that with these facts with then ADD 17 MORE democrats over rep. to the congress.
I guess only time will tell whether this was the right decision but i think the whole congress thing is far more troubling than Obama being president since hecant really do much.
On a side not here in massachusetts they had a question on the ballet that was whether or not to close down the Dog Track...and it actually passed so they will now be closing that in 2010....this is the most retarded thing ive heard...its like hey in a time when money is tight and jobs are hard to come by lets focus on closing down a track that adds over 200 jobs....brilliant....stupid animal activist retards

RE: Obummer? Obama?
I kinda agree with the dog track thing to a point. Those dogs are treated TERRIBLE, I have seen them I used to get to go in back with Rick ferrera he worked there. THey get stuck in a kennal all day long that I couldnt even fit in and some guy randomlly comes back and cleans the crap out everyonce in a while. Aside from that point of it I dont get why they are closing why not just revamp the way the dogs are brought up and treated?
As for Bush the Problem I have is that we all have to pay taxes not only to pay for war but now pay for a $700b bail out? Wait a minute the last 4+ years we have been spending $7b a month in iraq? Who the HELL does that make any sence at all? I agree we do have work over there to do however now is not the time. Our own country and holding on by a string.
On top of that all we are doing over there at this point is help the iraq people become strong enough to protect themselves and start over. WHY to we care if Iraqi people can protect themselves? Are they going to side with us next world war, or do we even want them to lol?
I did like Mccain but for some reason I got this gut feeling yesterday that 1) I knew Obummer was going to win ,but 2) I had this feeling that he might not be the right guy for right now. Plus Sarah Palin? are you kidding me? She lost alot of votes for him I think. I dont think you can be that dissapointed in the outcome either way it went it is an improvment over Bush, atleast now we have a Pres who can speak with a higher level than I can hahaha

RE: Obummer? Obama?
Like i asid i am more disapointed in the fact that we have now made and even worse congress than we had in the first place. The president doesnt have as much control as they do. And they have done nothing over the past 2 years which is why we are where we are. And then we dont change anything there, we just elect more of them... [&o]
And as for the war thing...ok i agree that starting it was not the right move....but simply leaving now is not at all the right move.
If history has tought us anything it should be that leaving is the WORST thing we can do. We are not there to help the iraqi people, we are there to secure our own national security.
Lets go back about 30-40 years to the cold war against russia. We were allied with both pakistan and afganistan against russia in covert operations to supply them with weapons in order to fight against the russians and push them out of pakistan. However all of this help had to stay secret so that they did not know we were the ones helping. This war claimed a ton of arab soldiers. By the end we had supplied the arabs with the weapons through both isreal and suadi arabia. So now at the end of the war pakistan and afganistan had all these weapons that WE supplied and it was estimated that over 60% or something of the population there was below the age of 20. Then we just LEFT. We left all the young people without any knowledge of what had transpired with weapons that we supplied. This then created what we know as the taliban.
So if we leave now we will be doing the same mistake we have been doing for years which is fight for a while and then juse leave. This will not solve anything. We must help create a democratic government there and supply the people with knowledge in order to secure our own national security. If we leave the rebels will take back control and we will be right back where we started...
also does anyone find it funny that a couple days before the election one of the leaders over there said he would "sit down with obama and talk but not mccain" and also we had a large bombing in iraq all a couple days ago...seems they really want obama over there too.
I guess only time will tell

Like i siad I agree we have work to do onver seas but at this time we have work to do inside our shores, why would we not fix ourselves before those who we really dont care that much about. I am not Pro Obama, I am independant. I didnt vote because I didnt care I would have had to flip on it in the booth (whats the point).

RE: Obummer? Obama?
I voted for Obama for a number of reasons, before I explain, I just want to make a few things clear.
If I was 10 years older, and a doctor (as I plan) then I would have voted for McCain, because I would be making a boat load of cash, and I don't want it to be taxed away.
I voted for Obama because:
a) The stress has caused Bush and Clinton for that matter to age SUPER fast, and this guy is already getting on in the years.
b) Palin being president would be an absolute ****ing disaster. That woman can't tell her mouth from her *******.
c) I like Obamas understanding of the situation in Iraq right now etc... I think just because McCain has been a POW for many years doesn't qualify him to make decisions on the topic. I think he has no clue what would be the best method of resolving the situation.
d) I don't like his healthcare plan (or Obamas for that matter)
e) Who here watched the debates? I watchedevery single one, and although there was the typical political game playing, I couldn't help but notice that McCain was totally unable to remain calm, and looked shifty. How can you want someone to lead that can't even have a political discussion? The guy was staring into space because he couldn't look at Obama, and that to me just says something about his character. (my main reason)
f) He chose that stupid ****ing VP only because he wanted to do exactly what Clinton did to get re elected. He wanted to appeal to the 'hockey moms'.
Now, in general I have very republican views, but I just can't stomach McCain or Palin.
The things I don't like about Obama:
a) A national healthcare plan is stupid. I lived in England for 14 years, and IT DOES NOT WORK.
b) It will mean doctors get paid less.
c) A lot of promises.... hopefully followed by action.
I just hope to God that nobody assasinates the guy. That will be a sad moment. I mean, we have finally proven that we are over the whole race inequality **** by having a 'black' president. If it does happen, then we will be the laughing stock of the world (more so than we already are), and it will give a bad name to every white person.
I am so glad that the race card was not played in the election, because that would just make me not vote at all. I hate anyone that hides behind the "Oh its because I'm black" ****. Its pathetic, and cowardly...
Anyways... BLACKEY FOR PRESIDENT.
