I found a mint condition 97 Supra in my neighborhood for $6,500 lol. Or so the guy said...kinda makes me suspicious.

 

just so you know a 97 TT with 100K on it will cost about $28K and a 97 with 100K non turbo about $18K so it is a scam or its not a 97.

take a pic I can prob. tell you if its a 97 really.

 

is it clean? the title, not salvaged? cause yea that doesnt seem right....unless the guy is stupid...ask him is he has all the paper work needed.. it sucks buying a car with a bad title :-( **bad memories**

 

Even if the car has a rebuilt title a 97 will go for $18-$23K been there done that trust me. hell I almost bout a 95 with a rebuilt title that was wrecked and fixed for $25k.... they are rare cars and hard to get the 97-98s are worth the most too

no one who has a supra would sell it for that. trust me that is one car you know what it is if you own it.

The 97-98s arnt the rarest persay but they are generally more expensive than proir MKIV supras from 93.5-96 because the 97 tehy started a few new paint colors they changed the tranny to a beefier one they changed the headlights and tails the front bumper got changed and turn signals. in 98 they had a couple more new colors come out and they kept all the cosmetic changes from 97 and add to it with a diff steering wheel and slightly different toned dash.

1997 Royal Saphire Pearl (blue) TT automatics only 34 ever made and 6spd only 21 (never came in this color prior)
1997 Alpine Silver only 46 TT autos and 69 TT 6spds (but was released in prior years)
1997 Jewel Green onlt 55 TT autos and 102 TT 6pds (only other year for this color was 96 all were autos in 96 and only 11 made)

1998 Royal Saphire Pearl only 16 TT Autos and 10 TT 6spds (makes RSP one of the rarest colors of all)
1998 Quicksilver FX only 9 TT Autos and 24 TT 6spds (only came out in 98 extremely rare color)
1998 Imperial Jade Mica(new green) only 10 TT autos and 14 T 6spds (only came in 98 extremely rare color)
