Yo d00ders
Been a while.
Looking to get back into the Mitsu game only for a daily driver. I recently bought a 2003 SVT Cobra, and need a DD bad so I can keep the miles off her (the Cobra). Came accross a 1990 TSi awd for CHEAP ($1,300) Reason for selling is the interior is kinda rough, and the guy is tired of messing with the car. Heres some pics, it now has chrome 2g wheels on it, but i have those Enkeis if ya want em too, theyre 17s: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...L/IMG00438.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...L/IMG00437.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...3524628aol.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...3524628aol.jpg http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...L/IMG00439.jpg Only updated pic with new wheels i have: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...L/IMG00469.jpg 165k miles VIN: 4e3ct64u5le141490 Lets see if i can remember everything: DSMparts highflow manifold EvoIII 16g evoIII o2 housing open wastegate Apexi safc NEO Apexi AVCD boost controller Shepheard STG1 trans ACT 2600 4bolt rear 2.5 piping 2.5 downpipe to 3in exhaust 2g maf 1g BOV New shift linkage, with Mach5 bushings I have new msd wires and spark plug that i never got around to putting on. And a pocketlogger from digital tuning Now, it has a "hiccup" while driving. He described it as what he felt was fuel cut. But what I see is that on the picture of the engine, the intake hose that runs to the BOV has a very nasty kink in it at the bov. If i'm not mistaken, thats the recirc. hose (been a while since I have had a turbo car. lol) Seems logical that when he's in boost and getting on it, when he shifts and the bov releases, that kink could be causing a strain and keeping too much pressure built up, aking it "burp". Or it could simply be a fouled out plug. I'm just unsure if I want to tackle the issue... because it isssssss a Dsm lol. Opinions? Oh... pics of my Cobra =) |

Welcome back and $1300 for the tsi looks like a good deal. The body looks really clean and it has a nice list of mods. Oh the svt looks very nice too, anything done to that?

My Slowbra is bone stock.
I've had it all of3 days. Its going to stay that way for a while too, because the cost of onwership on it is pricey. Down the road i'll up the boost to 17lbs with a 2.7" upper and 4lb lower pulley. 60lb injectors, headers, x-pipe, exhaust, SCT Tuner, 04 Coupe Springs (lower by .75"), Bigger heat exchanger, and then some fat Nitto Extreme Streets. mid 11 second recipe right there. |

Ive always had a thing for those cobras. It must be so much nicer than teh Evo. Big boy toys are so much more fun right, I know the supra was a big step up from the Evo for me. White looks perfect on that car. Its mint, what are the mileage?

Sounds like a good deal on the talon to me. Most likely its just something stupid causing the cut. Could even have to do with the tune. Or overboosting. But it has a 4bolt rear and a 6bolt block. Thats about as good as it gets when DSM's are concerned

Overboost is a thought. 18lbs is no small amount of boost psi. 3.) Spark Plug possibly fouled, or fouling out. 4.) Boost leak. The kinked hose is saying nothing but bad. 5.) Its a dsm... god help me |
