2007 Mitsubishi Outlander is 3.7 inches longer, 2.0 inches wider, and 0.4 inches higher than the 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV. It is powered by a 2.4-liter DOHC MIVEC gasoline engine tuned to six-speed Sport Mode CVT automatic gearbox and delivering 170 hp. actually, the north american version is powered by an all new, all aluminum 3.0 liter Mivec V-6 producing (I think) 220 hp. there is no 4 cylinder option.

I wonder how they modified the 2.4 to get 170 HP from the factory, hmmm. I may have to dive into a bit more research and see if it's something I can use or if they rerouted the flow of oil and all that fun kinda stuff like on the Caliber. Oops, I just saw it was a DOHC engine. Hmmm, I may have to look into that. |

I see, so it's the new "world" engine. Well, if the DOHC conversion is only good for 8 HP I guess I'll stop thinking about it...lol.
