RE: Dodge / Plymouth Question

mitsubishi had nothing to do with the 2.2 or 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engines in those cars.
if it has a 3.0 liter V6, then it is a mitsubishi engine.

RE: Dodge / Plymouth Question

yeah, I'm interested in the Mitsu/Mopar relationship too. anybody know when Mopar stopped using Mitsu engines? Got any info on swaps/transmission compatibity? I need to take a look at dodge transmissions, see what changes they have made since the mid-80s.

RE: Dodge / Plymouth Question

Mopar STILL uses Mitsu parts and engines. As do quite a few other companies.

RE: Dodge / Plymouth Question

hey, thank you! Woohoo! I do have a Mitsu engine in my minivan! :DI've been doing some reading up on this.

Know anything about the transmissions? That's the next step. I have to assume though that if Mopar is using mitsu engines, I'm guessing they are also using mitsu transmissions.

RE: Dodge / Plymouth Question

ummm that statement isn't entirely true, dodge in their infinate wisdom paired alotof the mitsu motors with dodge transmissions.
