Help Help

I have a big problem that I cant seem to fix. Im pretty sure it is the exhaust manifold pipe that is broken/loose or watever and it is causing my my starion to have this loud putting sound. It also seems to start so burn or somethin and smoke comes from the starion just after 10 mins of driving.... or is that a radiator problem? The guys at the shop told me I need to get it replaced since it is not weldable. Im havin a pretty hard time finding this pipe piece. And it is not the exhaust. Please can some1 help me on this...

This is not my engine but I cannot explain this properly without identifying this part that is really giving me a hard time. In this picture I think it is the bottom left is the air filter and intake system area that leads to this part on the left of the engine block (I don't know what this part is). THE PIPE that is giving me such a hard time connects the two parts(the part I don't know and the engine block). IT is NOT in this picture but it would be up against the aluminum plate/shield thing towards the back. Please I really need help on this if I am ever to be able to drive my starion.

HERES THE PICTURE. http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k3...t=100_0698.jpg See the air intake that leads to this cylinder thing that is shielded. THEN after that there is a pipe (in the back) that goes to the engine block. It's MY PROBLEM. THE SMALL ONE IN THE VERY BACK TOWARD THE BOTTOM.

LOL. That is the pipe that goes to yourcharcoal filter. If I was you I would just remove it and plug the hole. It is not really needed, nor is the charcoal filter. What I did was cut the pipe off level with the fitting and brazed it shut. Really is an easy fix and it cleans up the motor a bit.

RE: Help Help

Ahh Thank You very much. I was wondering why it was not in most Starion engine pics.
