04 eclipse fuel starving
Quick history, 04 eclipse that just had a used 01 talon motor installed..original burned up!! Anyway picked it from the mechanic about 6 weeks ago, I had some jerking when I shifted from 2nd to 3rd...so I scanned it and 2-o2 faults and 1 egr vavle code....well it eventually just died out on me! Could start it and would run for about 2 seconds and just shut off...now it doesnt it start, it just cranks....so I tried scanning and keep getting an error...(ecu?) well all that aside, I did the wet rag gas trick and it started...so I redirected to fuel starvation! Disconnected the hose directly from the fuel pump and applied 12 volts to the fuel pump, but no gas coming out!! So I ordered a whole new sending unit, pump, & filter....installed & applied same test, no fuel!! Aside from the fact that I could other problems I'm trying figure out why can't I get fuel directly out of my pump when bypassing all relays and so forth...any possible locations I can look around the gas tank for leak (air), hoses, or etc....am I loosing pressure somewhere....I don't know, I could be digging I the wrong spot...thanks in advance!!!
I maybe wrong about the 01 talon but that's what the valve cover gasket said on top....anyway did some more digging last night...., no luck! on a 04 eclipse where can I find the the fuel relay? I'm assuming is its under the hood, not inside the car?
