1995 Rvr Fuel issue
 

Hi,
Am looking for some advice.
My partners 1995 RVR (4G93 non GDI) ran out of petrol a couple of days ago.
When i put more petrol in and tried to start it, it would run for a minute or so or until you press the gas pedal down and would die.

Now its not starting at all and no fuel is getting to the rail.

The fuel pump is running as normal but there is just no pressure coming to the injectors .
any one have an ideas i could try to get it running again?

Hi Glenn,

Not really an expert by any means and not too familiar with Mitsubishis, but some older Vehicles I've worked on generally required if the petrol ran empty, to change out the primary fuel filter as well. You'd have to prime the filter by putting new petrol in the new filter, then once you filled the tank, when you first started the engine you'd need to run the throttle at high RPM for a few minutes to cycle all the fuel through to fully prime the fuel lines. Sounds like you might have airlocked your fuel lines so maybe this might be a quick fix for you?
