The problem began when my fuel gauge read around the 1/4 tank mark. The fuel gauge then started going up again rather than down. Since I don't believe in the Fuel Fairy I watched my mileage so as to not run out and filled up when the gauge made it up to the 3/4 mark. I continued to monitor gauge vs mileage and gauge kept going down normally then began climbing back up any time after 1/2 tank. After about the 3rd tank my check engine light came on with a P0455 Evaporative Emission Leak. I checked my gas cap and took a quick look at the hoses then cleared the code. It took about 3 more tanks of fuel but the P0455 error code came back and my fuel gauge is still acting up. I know I'm going to have to eventually bite the bullet and replace the fuel pump but was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and are the two issues related. Thanks in advance
