I went to a parts store trying to find a fuel filter for a 2000 eclipse RS but they say that there is no actual filter to replace, but it may be in the fuel pump and I would have to replace the entire pump, anybody know anything about this?

I just changed my fuel filter on 2000 eclipse gt 3.0 v6.It is part of the fuel pump.I found it at autohausaz.about $55.00
