Fuel tank fitment

I have a 2012 AWD rvr GT and the fuel tank the. needs replacement. I found a cheap new one in town. But it’s for a 2012 FWD model and the tank is slightly different on the passenger side and how it wraps up and over the exhaust and shaft.
The straps appear to go in the same spot.
wondering if anyone has been through this before. Shop quoted me 1k for a new tank and I found this one for $200.
be cool if it would work.
thanks

It will not fit, or work. The AWD tank has to go over the propshft and the FWD one is the wrong shape..

Could you get a shop to look at the FWD tank and see if they can modify it to fit? Even if it took $400 to adapt it, that plus the $200 for the FWD tank would be a savings of $400 over the AWD tank.
