Fuel pump compatibility
Hello.
I have a 1997, 2.5l, v6 mf galant.
my fuel pump recently died so I started looking for a replacement and bought a regitar usa fp001 pump, as when searching ebay for the required replacement part it prompted the regitar pump and according to regitars webpage the pump is compatible with my car.
The pump is rated for a pressure of 300kPa and a fluid rate of 100 l/h.
My mechanic says the pump should be of a "minimum pressure of 60lbs".
I dont know what he means by this, 60 psi?
And I dont know where he gets this number.
I cant find what fuel pump pressure my car requires anywhere.
I appreciate any help I can get clearing up this matter.
