I am selling this super-clean 1990 Mitsubishi Montero.
It has NO UNDERBODY or FRAME RUST - it was originally purchased in mile-high (and dry) Denver in 1991 and then moved to Sausalito, California (San Francisco) in 1992 and has been there ever since. It was recently driven from SF to Portland without problems.
It was just detailed so it looks amazing. You can see from the photos that it's been well cared for over the years - it has the original carpet and seats and they look great. There are dents and dings of course, but they add character and are definitely not the first thing that strikes you about this classic car - the angular lines and huge windows are!
It has a stout V6 3.0 liter engine that's easy to service (though it needs nothing - it just had an oil & filter change this month) and a 5-speed manual transmission as well as an auto-locking 4x4 system that you can shift on the fly. The check engine light is on (and has been for the past 6 years) but in Maine this is not an issue as it's considered an antique.
This car was made before SUVs became the bloated "cars" they are now - This machine has a solid steel bash plate on the front and even a factory bash plate protecting the gas tank (which is drainable from below - so useful if you need some gas for another purpose). It has beefy solid steel bumpers with factory diamond-plate on the rear bumper and a serious integrated tow hook.

and people often come up to ask about it or tell stories of how they miss their Monty!

I am open to reasonable offers but expect that someone who is into either vintage cars or realizes how rare a beast like this (in this original condition) is will want it. I would definitely prefer it goes to an owner who will love it, but CASH is still King in my world.
It comes with the original owner's manual and the original floor mats (which are blue and in decent condition as well)
