06 Outlander J-01 MMCS Volume decrease
 

We've had our outlander '06 for about a month then out of nowhere the sound volume has decreased. We used to go to about 30 on the volume and it was too loud, now we can go to 45 and it's nowhere near as loud. Any ideas? Its not a Rockford system, just a standard mmcs stereo/speakers...all speakers are working, the back pair aren't as loud as the front though - even though they are all set at the same volume/fader is set in the middle... going nuts as to what could be causing the volume to be so low...we've checked the fuses and they seem to be fine...took the car to a stereo installer and he checked the settings and said they were fine...it's just not pumping out the sound it used to...

any help appreciated

well, we connected another head unit and it played fine (ie twice as loud)..looks like the MMCS amp is buggered....time for a new stereo (won't be a mmcs lol)
