My drive up a mountain

I thought I would post about the little adventure I had in my Shogun a few weeks ago on a Sunday. *We went for a drive up into the mountains behind where we live, to visit a small village and try out their one and only restaurant. *Unfortunately I took a wrong turn and ended up driving up a mountain, along single track roads, with a big drop on one side. *Luckily we didn't meet any other cars coming the other way (I wonder why) as the passing spots were few and far between and I didn't fancy reversing half a mile with a 100m drop off the edge.

You can see in the background the track. *The only other people up there were hikers and people on mountain bikes. *They didn't seem to appreciate a great big 4x4 spoiling their peace and quiet. *

As you can see, we where right up practically in the clouds and there were planes going overhead, seemingly just above our heads.

After several hours of driving I finally found a spot where I could do a 100 point turn and we got back to the bar I was looking for in the first place.

Overall a good day out and at least I got to make good use of the full four wheel drive system.

The mountain in question that we drove up is just behind the town of Nerja where we live in southern Spain. The mountain track goes from a village called Acebuchal which is near to Frigiliana.
