it would be like battle of the retards... even if you win, you are still slow. i'm not sure what the lancer puts down but the eclipse runs the quarter in mid - high 16's i think.

LOL well put ^^^ but i still wanna no whos got who the lancers puttin out 120 horse but im not sure about the torque and stock the eclipse puts out 150 so im thinking about 160-165 with intake and exhuast?? does that sound about right

that is BHP which mean jack sqwat. on a dyno the eclipse would only make 110WHP which is really slow. same goes for hte ES. BHP is worthless

i'd say closer to 160 if that. from what i've read in thepast the lancer is heavy (heavier than the eclipse) so heavier car, lower horespowe rating... you do the math. but all in all it will probably come down to the driver. driver makes all the difference in the world

with how slow both are gonna be, the launch and the driver would deterimine it. I think as long as he is a decent driver, doesnt even have to be good just decent, then the eclipse would win.

suprisingly the lancer (4door) is lighter then the eclipse by like 300 lbsand damn if the eclipse only has 110 whp then the lancers at like 90 that dont make any sence to me??? can u explain

Base horsepower from the factory is what is estimated to be at the crank. However there is a lose of hp when it gets transfered to the wheels, known as wheel HP (WHP). This is the hp that you would see when you go to a dyno. Therefore that is why they are lower than the BHP

the lancer is lighter I think... My Evo is alittle lighter than my GS and WAYYYYY lighter than my spyder lol and The Evo has a huge wing a ton more parts in the engine by and a tone more drivetrain parts so it must weigh more than a regualr lancer

i thought the EVO was lighter than the Lancer. .. thought it had a lighter body on it, i know it's got a heavier engine and more stuff in the engine compartment but i still thought it was lighter.

the MRs and the RS.... the RS did cause it is the RACE model it weghts like 600LBS less than the GSR. The MRs do because the tranny is bigger and they needed to make up for it.

Are you freaking serious? come on now. we all gave valid info on our opinions and only stated the facts, they are slow slow slowwww cars plain and simple. I would know from experience I had a 2000 Eclipse GS a while ago. If the truth bothers you that much then dont race your car. I always laugh when I see slow cars race, it is one of the funniest things to witness and im sure im not the only one who gets a laugh at it. Just dont be bothered by the facts man. If you think they are fast cars then your kidding yourself. I was never trying to be a cock in this thread I was actually defending the Lancer:eek:

nobody is being a cock on here at all.... we were telling you valid statements.... most ppl's opion - it would come down to the launch and the driver. we said that 2 pages ago. If you think your car is fast, go test drive an EVO, STI, WS6, etc something with over 250hp and theeeen come on here and tell us how fast a lancer or 3g gs is lol.
