Well I just joined this site a few minutes ago, but I have been reading some of your posts since last week. I want to share something with you guys, so bear with me. I was recently in a car crash, (racing, and I had a couple of beers that night to be honest (don`t judge please, I feel bad enough already) anyway I had a Mitsubishi Lancer GLX (this is central america) 2004 1.6 SOHC 4G18 Engine, few modifications (Toyo proxes F-8 tires, 195R1465 I think, intake, nothing fancy) anyway I just got back the pictures from the insurance company (and yes I will get a new car, bought one used a couple of days ago, still awaiting shipment in Miami) so I wanted to show them to you, just to see what you guys think. anyway here goes:

you are really lucky.. learn from your mistakes and move on... so what actually happened?

I hit a street lamp, made of concrete mind you, anyway I came out alright (you know what they say that which doesnot kill you, only makes you stronger) anyway my soul is crushed because I wrecked my car, so I am currently expecting my 2004 Mitsubishi lancer 2.0 ralliart model from Miami (thank god for insurance), it is due in two weeks, so in the mean time I have to drive my sister`s crappy 2003 corolla, which pales in comparison believe me. Anyway, I tried to reflect on my accident, but as soon as I jumped into another car I was racing again, I guess this time I will have to be more carefull.....or not race at all (yeah right!!!)

wow, poor car.. but liek everyone elts, atleast your alright.. and dont race the carolla, you'll just hurt your pride that way :-P and howd u spin cause by the pics it looks like the back is smashed and not the front? but i cant tell very well the car is bakked pretty well...

@ I spun cause I hit the right sidewalk and then the car turn almost 180 degrees mind you, and hit the post, If I would of hit the post head on who knows where I would be (that big lancer evo shop in the sky maybe, or in hell with all those civis) pm me so I can send you pics of my new lancer 04 OZ,

ps. I have a small scar on my face to prove it (1 cm left cheek), I guess I will always remember from now on...

 

i would suggest you not race anymore. you are lucky to be alive. i had a similar fate as you. i wrecked my car racing and nobody knows how i climbed out of the car alive. since that day two years ago, i have not raced once. i don't plan on racing again either(unless its at the track).

 

Drinking and driving is stupid but were all glad your ok!

 

damn.. that car seems defected! but it's cool to hear miracle story!
