03 Eclipse GTS (V6) vs. 03 Ford ZX2 (4 cyl.)

I know the answer. I want to know what everyone else thinks.

is the ZX2 stock, and a manual? the onyl way he might have a chance is if youre auto and he is manual

 

both are stock and both are auto trans.

 

My friend had an 03' ZX2 standard and I can personally say that it was pretty slow. I test drove an 03' Eclipse standard and it was alright so i am going with the Eclipse

 

Do you guys wanna know who would win in 60 ft.?

Both vehicles are stock automatic trans.

The ZX2 by almost half a second.

2003 Ford ZX2 1.98sec.
2003 Eclipse GTS 2.50sec.

im afraid that i would have to see that to believe it...a 60' time of 1.98 would put the car into the mid to low 13s, from a collection of time slips that i looked at..my old dodge runs mid 12s, and i run 1.80s on bad weather days...ive found sRT4 slips with experienced drivers who are running mid 12s who are only pulling 1.90 60s...im afraid that if you saw a ZX2 do this, there is NO way that it was stock.

an automatic GT mustang couldnt turn those numbers stock.

 

Seriously. It amazed me too. This car had quite a bit of pep. It had a very touchy pedal. And yes it did run 1.98 60'. It was stock, auto.

That is fast because my dad has a 89 Mustang LX 5.0 and his 60' times are around the same.

I always thought that it is how the car is geared. Basically it had a very good first gear but everything after that was all 4 cyl.

 

I timed a quartermile only once and it was 17.2 sec.
