Default quick question

Hey guys heres a quick question? I have a tick in my motor(I think it’s the lifters)heres my question how hard is it to replace the lifters? and I use Mobil 1 10-30 full synthetic. with a k&n oil filter. I heard if you use the oem filter the tick goes away. Does the egr valve have anything to do with the tick, cuz my car throws out the egr valve code and that the only code my computer throws. Please let me know asap Thanks, the sound is annoying

Just replace the lifters w/ the 3g revised lifters, they arn't ahrd to replace. Check out www.vfaq.com, it shows how to remove and clean them.

Is your egr valve blocked off?

Honestly, it is normal. Just make sure you changed your oil when you should and you will be fine.

If you really want to get rid of it, then change them to the 3g revised. However, I don't think it is money well spent.

And no the EGR has nothing to do with the lifters. Your egr valve may be clogged or stuck if its throwing a code
