Default Which oil is best for gst?

First of all I want to say hi. I am a new member and I hope to learn a lot, and I want to thank you in advance for all your help.
I drive a mitsubishi eclipse gst 98, and I wanted to get an oil change. I would usually just go to jiffylube and have them deal with it but I decided to take better care of my car by using oil that best suits it. Do any of you know which oil is best for my car? thanks.

This is asking what kinda of gas to put in your car... kinda... okay bad example but a really good oil depends on what you wnat to spend. Royal purpule is the ****... but I buy mobil one syntech and I am happy with that. Matter factly my friend put syntech in his gf's 1.8t vw and now you can hear the turbo spool where before with ****ty oil you couldent.

I'm also doing an oil change on my '99 Eclipse GS-T really soon and am switching to Mobil One fully synthetic from Pennzoil 10w 30...I can't wait too see what kind of change it brings and now I have even higher hopes...Which brand of oil filter is going to work best?

If there are alot of days that do not get above 100deg but get below 0 quite often than use 5w30 if your area gets above 100 a lot but hardly never below 0 than go 10W30.
