ok i installed some EL guage faces on my 99 spyder now the gas guage only has half the range and the temp guage does not function at all im thinking that the just need to be reclaibrated being electronic guages i installed them with the entire guage pod removed so they were unpowered. im just stuck.

Are you for real ?? there is no calibrating the guages ..did you pull the needles off and put them back exactly were they were when the car was running for 10 minutes ....? both before and after installation

no i didn't pull them off at all. The instructions that came sucked. at the time i knew nothing of electronic guages. (now i know just enugh to be dangerous) what i did and yes i know i totaly wrong was moved the needles to slide the faces on then moved them back. form what i can figure i didn't damage the fuel (could be worng though) it still functions only part of the range though. the temp guages does not at all it reads cold all the time. im tempted to run the car till it heats up then move the temp guage back to what was i normal op temp.

for all the flames im going to get

I know i shouldnt have done this without doing the research first. Im a dumbass and am probably going to pay for it when i need to get new guages.

well fill your tank .....run it at operating temp ....and so on

If it still gives you trouble what you will need to do is this

bow your head in shame and go to a dealer let them hook up the MUTT II it will give them the correct readings and set the needles where they need to be ..it may cost you 1 or 2 hours in labor
