Ok, so if any of you listened to the news last week, a little town in illinois had a close encounter with a F4 tornado.
If you dont understand the fugita scale of rating tornados, an F4 is just shy of the finger of god. So this thing passes 3/4 mile from my house as im sitting out in my boat fishing in northern wisconsin. Shortly later i get a call asking if the house is alright and im confused as to what might be wrong with it. So they go on to explain to me what the tornado did.

The thing started up about 7 miles due west of my house. proceded to 3 miles west and a half mile south to destroy a 225000 sq factory with 150 people huddled in the reinforced bathrooms... and were not talkin run over the factory... no, it stalled and sat there for 14 min before completely destroying 3 houses due east and severely damaging 2 others. then it moved 1/4 mile south and ran just south of the town before it beat up a few more houses and finally disapated. Enclosed are some pics... ill post more as i get them...

Needless to say, my vacation got cut short, and i spent the rest of it trying to help my neighbors find thier belongings in the fields.

we had one a few weeks back too... 4.5 but we only felt a 1. something... it was a little north of us... i still cant believe the tornado sat on the factory for 14 min.. just sat there... everybody inside said they could hear cars and objects being thrown repeatedly into the building...

Man that sucks! Glad no one died. We had a small one in Brunswick last week (Tornado). No one hurt or killed. Very small. I think we have had 2 in the past 10 years. Our biggest problem is Hurricanes.
