View Full Version : does diamante vr-x 2002 has the same engine as 3000 GT or not? 99galant 03-28-2007, 07:16 PM I want to add performance mods to my diamante but not sure where to start. i heard 3000 GT has same engine. may be i am wrong. any help????????????????????????????????????????:D Manybrews 04-01-2007, 12:17 PM they are not the same. Nothing about them is the same. 99galant 04-08-2007, 05:05 AM what kind of modification i can do to 2002 diamante vr-x? where can i get those modification? Lajes 04-21-2007, 12:23 AM The engine in your car is the 6G74 3.5 litre; the 3000 GT has the 6G72 3.0 litre. I've seen a 6G74 in a 3000 GT, bored 40 over with big turbos but I have never seen anyone do it the other way around. If you want to upgrade your engine, the only real power you are going to get will be from forced induction - turbo or supercharger. I have never seen a kit containing either of those for the diamante. Our cars just aren't set up for performance. It's a comfortable ride with enough power to get you up to speed and I personally like it that way. If you want a good amount of more horsepower then you will be looking at a price tag between $5000-$10000, depending on how much power you want. Good luck. 99galant 05-11-2007, 12:03 AM like in other countries its called mitsubishi magna. do you think you can put magna's performance parts in diamante or not? i really dont know anything about diamante. i can not find anything. and i dont want someone to build custom stuff cuz i ont want to take any chances. i love the car the way it is but still want little more power. right now its 210 hp. want to go between 300 - 350. I dont know how i can do that. anyone knows where can i get the turbo or supercharger. ?????????????????? davidmitsusrock 05-11-2007, 12:12 AM the 6g74 is a common swap in the 3000gt am i correct? or is that the 6g75? miguel 06-28-2007, 11:48 AM the diamante and the 3000gt have the same 6g72 for some model years FlyingLow 09-26-2007, 12:25 PM I have an 02 VRX - major service coming up, reprogramming computerto neutral and tweaking for increased horsepower-possible microchip addition. To beadding cold air intake, headers and split exhaust. Try "White Line" on your search engine as that is a Magna/Diamante performance house out of Australia. |
