Default 2002 Eclipse Spyder Does Not Idle

Yesterday my Spyder developed a problem where it would start and run fine but would not idle. I can ride it anywhere as long as I can maintain pressure on the gas pedal. As soon as I get the foot off the pedal it dies. Anybody has any troubleshooting suggestions???

could be the map sensor. Could have an air leak. And for the OP i could be something as simple as a corroded battery terminal

was the battery replaced or did the battery drain down to the point where it had to be jumped off??? that can cause the idle speed control motor to lose its memory and need to be reset. causes same condition. also the idle speed control motor could be going out or is bad. those are the most common things i see out of that vehicle anyway
