Dusty Eclipse 06-21-2007, 10:07 PM Dont use steel wool, period. A fine grit sandpaper 2000 plus. GSXPimp 06-22-2007, 02:19 AM ^^^right on. no go with steel wool!! I Drive Naked 06-22-2007, 04:15 AM I've discovered an Armor All arsenal for washing my car. Armor All wash and Wax soap. " " interior wipes. "" Foaming tire shine (its in an aerosol can and cleans + shines. amazing!) Armor All non amonia glass cleaner. With that cocktail, a good sponge and scrubber, microfiber cloths to dry, your car will look amazing. ba3kgt 06-22-2007, 08:07 PM its cuz when im at home im parked under a tree and some stuff gets on my hood and i washed my hood like 3-4 times and it still wont come off 94 3kgt sl 06-22-2007, 11:20 PM well have you waxed the car lately. because with a good layer of wax the dirt or sap should just come right off. or get a good cleaner wax and go to town. then after all the stuff comes off, never park the car under a tree again, period. lol. ba3kgt 06-23-2007, 08:45 PM haha i have to its the only place for me to park at home and are u saying that waxing the car will take off the stuff? bnilguy 06-27-2007, 12:57 PM I don't think a Cleaner wax would touch tree sap if it's bonded on there and wax is pretty thin, so it doesn't always prevent sticking. I'd use a bug and tar remover, Goo-gone, or WD-40 would also work...But you'd need to wash and then wax after 94 3kgt sl 06-27-2007, 10:26 PM maybe try a clay bar. those are pretty tough. follow up with a wax. the wax will keep the tree sap off. Scubba.steve 04-15-2008, 06:40 AM I agree with bnilguy (http://www.mitsubishiforum.com/showProfile.asp?memid=12253)Goo Gone is the $HIT!!!! I use it to take off the residue after removing a vinyl. Cleans up just about anything pretty nice |
