i have a hunch that it will mess it up on a fine level. sorta like you if you look at it enough you'll start to notice it? what are you going to use it on? just washing you car? if it's for that micro-fiber is the way to go.

I've discovered an Armor All arsenal for washing my car.

Armor All wash and Wax soap.
" " interior wipes.
"" Foaming tire shine (its in an aerosol can and cleans + shines. amazing!)
Armor All non amonia glass cleaner.

With that cocktail, a good sponge and scrubber, microfiber cloths to dry, your car will look amazing.

well have you waxed the car lately. because with a good layer of wax the dirt or sap should just come right off. or get a good cleaner wax and go to town. then after all the stuff comes off, never park the car under a tree again, period. lol.
