Punisher 10-15-2004, 02:11 AM well being that Ive had a toyota 4runner, a plymouth reliant and used my dad's montero, Id have to say the Outlander is one of the better cars when it comes to handling and ride quality. Monteros handle like a dump truck -Heavy- , and you can feel the top heaviness (if there is such a phrase) after being used to a little/lower car in the smallest of turns. My reliant, though the ride was smoth, didnt handle as well as it could have. The outlander IMO is a best of both worlds deal in that you have the capabilities of an SUV with the handling of a small car.
