I want to add a roll cage to my 92 talon and was wondering if anyone has made their own? I have a friend that is a welder so it will be cheap and he does it all the time. But I can't find any plans anywhere on the web. If you have any pictures of your cage could you please post them.

Thanks

WTF!, roll cage, what the hell are you packing under that hood?, People with stage2+ turbos get roll cages. But if you can't find any sites. Go on searching in KAZAA, that should come up with something, or I heard GOOGLE gets better results for stuff then YAHOO does, but its your choice, hope this helps.PEACE

I'm not packing that much under the hood...yet. but I have a friend that works in a Off roading garage and his boss said that we could make me a roll cage for just the cost of the tubing, so I figured why not do it.

ok well why not do it:here are some good reason NOT to:

1) it adds more weight to yur car

2) if you dont got nothing extremely fast/and or powerful, then why use a roll cage?

3) it would look butt ass ugly, i mean think about it!!!

4) just cause its free doesnt mean squat, people who get roll cages are people who have 50,000+$$$$$ under the hood, or at least be most wise! ;) if I were you I would have second thoughts

Heres why I would do it.

Its add chassis stability.

I think that it would look so bad ass.

I don't like to drag race. I like to do tracks. So just in case I flip my car(I don't see it happening but you never know.)

People who get roll cages and drag race. per NHRA rules are people who run 11.99-11.00 ETs. Which you don't need to spend $50,000+ To get there.

But I see your points too. I also decided against it because my friends boss wanted to charge me labor also. That Jerk.. Oh well, its probably for the best that it didn't work out.

Add to it the understregnth unibody frame, and a complete roll cage is a reasonable thought. Look at accident photos of an eclipse 1st gen
