Anyone with a good kill lately? I absolutely destroyed a geeser the other day, but to be fair it is only a honda. It was a red light drag and i knew i hadhim by the end of first gear. The guy followed me to a gas station( i actually only needed to fill gas) and he said all he had was intake, exhuast, andsafcand didn't expect to beat a turbo eclipse. He kinda lookedsurprised when i told him i wasn't turbo....yet. He said he's probably pushing 170hp to the wheels, and i'm probably only doingan optimistic160hp.But since teggy's only have like 12lbs of torque you can't expect much in a drag.</P>


Anyone else have a good story?</P>

few weeks ago, '94 mustang 5.0 got smoked by non other than me. he pulls up and revs a few times, says, hey follow me! so I do, he decides to take off at about 30mph, I drop to 2nd and by the time I hit 90 he is a full car length behind me. and he started off one in front, cause he was leading the way.. </P>


also, 2days ago, I was driving my friends VR-4 down the interstate. pulled next to a M3 and waved.. "hey nice car" he punches it and is ahead for about 3 seconds before I blow by him. 130 through traffic is a rush!!! </P>

I have a new story, earlier today i was coming home from work and the road i take is a long, flat, 4 lane highway type thing. I usually drive in the fast lane going about 70 because i have about 7 miles to go. There's this fordprobe in the right lane going about the speed limit and i pass him up thinking nothing about it. A few seconds later he blasts past me going about 85mph i'm guessing.I wouldn't normally go after him until i saw his passenger window was down and the guy in the passenger seat had his hand uppointing down atthe car like "this is where it's at". Well, i can't let some fwd domestic ruin the dsm name...so i drop it in fourth and floor it. Then i'm like "i'm not going fast enough" and drop it in third at 80.As I downshifted,I bounced off the rev limiter. Not good times. Lost a bit of accelration because of that, but after upshifting to fourth i caught up to him in no time. I was going about 110mph and feeling the mis-balance of my left rear wheel. The rear-end was shaking so bad, i could swear i have internal bleeding now. I stayed right behind the probe(turns out it was a gt) until about 125mph. The he let off the throttle and i switched lanes to get right next to him. The guy in the passenger seat looks over at me and waves. I waved back and speed back up to 70 and got back in the fastlane. Not too eventful, But i think that's the fastest my car has gone in a long time. I don't think i'll be highway racing for a while, since now the rear wheel mis-balance is more pronounced at lower speeds. </P>

haha...good story spyder....im srry but im not into the whole ford "sportscar?" thing...i cant stand them dam things..my buddy has a probe gt and....it sets at the local garage more than he drives it. everything seems to go wrong with them cars. i know other people that has the same opinion. yeah didnt really kno if i should have wrote the whole tempo thing because thats nothing to brag about. I am looking into buying a 1998 camero though, as of right now. it has the LT1 corvette engine in it. that way ill have something for that cobra and any other american muscle cars on these local streets. take care!!! l8er

Yeah, Probes are over-rated IMO. I guess Mazda didn't care what they made after the 3g rx7 and just threw the mx6/probe out for Ford to be happy. Aww man, a camaro....they are fast. I thought the 98's came with the LS1's? Or actually when did they switch body styles(indent headlight to "normal" type)? There's something about camaro's i don't like though, I would prefer the TransAm even though they're the same car. Have you read about that guy that*only*ported the heads on his LS1 camaro and ran low 12's? That makes me wonder sometimes about why i'm tuning my little 4 banger. Then i realize that it doesn't take me a 1/4 tank of gas to do a burnout<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">.</P>


Keep us posted and i definitely wanna hear how that race turned out. The plain rsx runs about the same 1/4 as an eclipse non-turbo, so it should be a good race. If you have any good base mods then you should be able to take him. But show the spoiled brat that he should run his car and not his mouth.(Like i can talk, my first car was a 97 talon and that was back in the day!)</P>

Nice job 91, always wanted to see a non turbo go up against an rsx. Almost the same power to weight ratio, only suspension and driver skill would be the determining factor. Uhh...yeah, don't get into fights....bad stuff can happen to your car overnight if you know what i mean. </P>


Well, i beat a newer style firebird....again....kids these days. They think v6 rwd is the s*** until they figure out a 3500 car with a 20% drivetrain loss equals honda-like performance. Actually this guy was probably older than me...</P>

The best thing to do when someone is a sore loser is to just askthem to run it again. If he says anything else, just walk away....people will see you're the bigger person and no harm can come of it. Always try and be in good spirits with people,no matter how ignorant or self-righteous they can be. Case in point, my cousin lives in Toronto and i just went up there this past weekend(spring break at my college). He had just gotten a 95 AWD Talon andthis guy in a supposedly TypeR raced him three times because he couldn't believe he lost to a"domestic". There aren't any eclipses in canada, only talons so everyone thinks they're chrysler cars. My cousin kept winning because of his AWD advantage, but the integra dude was seriously getting on our nerves saying that its a Dodge POS.We all tried to tell him it's a mitsu car, and even tried to show him the mitsu stamp on the firewall. He didn't care, he even called it a Jeep<IMG src=smileys/smiley7.gif border="0">. In the end, we just left him. Everyone else saw what happened, so who cares what that guy thinks. I gotta tell ya, the Torontoimport scene is bangin. Way better than anything in Cinci...

Rotary's....kinda like modding any other engine. You can do port jobs that open up the intake and exhaust ports. The only difference is that since the ports are on the side and run on a verticle plane, the size and shape are what determines the power range. I'm not asolutely sure on how the shape affects the car, but i do know it's somewhat important. You can elongate the port shape or make it wider and that will affect the rev range and power bands and things like that. The size, i'm thinking is like how a piston engine works, make it too big and it flows good up top but not too god down low. I'm no expert on it, but i know some. I'd think that because they're such good high revver's, they can utilize a lot of big turbo's to their full potential. My buddy's rx7 is now being modified, he's already got a Racing Beat Exhaust system and he's gonna try the 13bt swap soon. But sitting in his car is crazy.He used to drive a mustang, so he always shifts at like 5k. I told him to open it up in third gear on the highway, and he was so amazed. So was I, those things rev to forever. The NA rotary's are great, just like a bike. There's a SpecV around here for about $13,5 and i'm tempted...<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

no, its the full bomex kit. I've had so much trouble with the pieces not fitting the car what-so-ever. and the company says to "form" it.. f**k THAT. Im not paying my body guy to MAKE the kit for me, just install and paint. what a pain in my ass.. I haven't driven my eclipse for 6 months.. and i've only had it since last april

this past friday i was on sunrise hwy here on long island headed back home , i knew that i was near a racing spot, suddenly i see a s**t load of riced out hondas winding their exhausts coming onto the hwy off the on ramp . I was with my friend who loves hondas , i was on the last inner lanepassing them , suddenly i here yannngggg eryanngggggggg shtsssh,(bless you lolll) thenmy friend rolls down the window , he knew the guy he says whats up and rolls the window back up. he tells me that its a 98 sohc vtec turbo , i laughed because the guy used a garrett t28 , which is a good ass turbo dont get me wrong but to much for that crx , he wont be able to feel the turbo all the way even if he has vtec. so as he rides along he revss it taps thegas time to time , idwon shifted to 4th like within 2 seconds of me down shifting he gunned it so did i . it only takes me about half a sec to be infront of him by one car lenth then when i looked back in about 5500 rpm in 5th i was a good 2 street blocks ahead of him. i let it rev back down until im doing about 85 mph , then he finally catches up and was still gunning it , i didnt waste time so i didnt go after him. nothing big but hey its like the only race ive had in about a month.

Burnt, I always hear about knock-off kits not fitting right, but sounds like you really got shafted. I got a good kill to tell you guys about. A highway race between me and a Supercharged GrandPrix! I can't believe i took him out, but it was a good race. I was justspeeding up i-275 and the GrandPrix was in the fast lane. As i pass him, i didn't even think he would come after me. I was goin bout 75-80 and he was just cruising at 60 or so. I'm about two car lengths ahead of him and i guess he just guns it and is almost right next to me. He gets up next to me and looks over at me and then just floors it again and goes in front of me. Now at first i'm like, i can't win this but i might as well see if i can keep up with him. I downshift to third(Spyderman don't try this, i got the Head conversion and turbo ecu!) Well, i'm right up on him and i'm not accelerating very fast since i've passed my max hp point a long time ago. I shift to 4th and i'm in my powerband again. I'm still right behind him, but now my car is really starting to go...i mean really go. I end up going into the fast lane and i'm closing in on him, then i pass him, slowly, but i pass him. I'm going around 140 now(glad i got the GSX ecu instead of the GST<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">) and i'm already ahead of him by about a car length. I don't know if i should shift to fifth or not, because i still have a ways to go in fourth. Then grandprix starts to brake and slow down, and so do i. I shift to fifth and start cruising at around 65mph. The guy doesn't really acknoledge me, he just looks over and then looks straight ahead again. I'm just glad i could beat him....i don't want any recognition. But my mods are really paying off now. can see why i beat him now though, The grandprix's came with a 3.8l supercharged v6with 240hp and 280lbs torque.....but also with an automatic transmission. It redlines at like 6Krpm too. So i can see how i'd win now. Hey, i know he can take me at redlights, but atleast i OWN the Highway. HAHAHHAAHAHAHHAH!!!!!!!!!!!</FONT></P>

<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">,yeah , these guys out here with honda are all into turbo charging a sohc vtec , now im not much of a honda person but alright i understand the concept of vtec (ferrari were one of the starters of this concept ,..so i've heard) well alright vtec has it's advantage in top end but a sohc reaches a limit way sooner and with a pretty big turbo that has a spooling range greater than the motor seems like a senseless thing to do. but hey they do what they wanna do , and whats even more halarious is that i saw the guy today at my freinds house when i went over. he was driving a civic coupe though not his like he put it in his words "fast whip" ( i was confused for a second i thought he was talking about ice cream but then i remembered that its slang for car.lolll , well he asked me to open the hood , i did he said oh thats why u beat me,dohc , he querstioned my turbo if it was stock i told him no that i had the evo 3 16 g ported and clipped and thats why i took off at top end like hell . he then told me wait to race him in a month , that he is going bigger on turbo.i asked him with what engine (i was actingstupid i knew he meant his sohc vtec) . i felt like telling him how it is a waste of money and how he really needs to logically think instead of throwing better and better , buit like my evil ways i kept to myself and cant wait to see him make an ass out of himself.<IMG src=smileys/smiley8.gif border="0"></P>

What turbo are you using? I've got a small 16g ready for my conversion, but i'm thinking of trading it in for an ev016g. And which head? C'mon man, you went ahead and did the conversion without tellin us?

14b...got it for free...all I had to do was have it rebuilt. I'm using a 1st gen. turbo head with 2nd gen. cams. haha....sorry...nobody asked me what I had. I'm just bummed cuz I have the potential to be pretty quick but i can't do anything until its tuned. Spyderman, Are you gonna dyno tune? The dyno doesn't lie.....but dude, don't waste your money. Get the pocketlogger or even DSMlink, and just go ahead and starttuning. If you got the turbo ecu and injectorsthen tuning won't be too hard, but if you still got the 4g64 ecu, then your in for some trouble. Start as soon as you can. What's your boy with the Supra doing? A turbo upgrade or BPU stuff?</P>

I have the turbo ecu upgrade, but I haven't even started tuning because i want to upgrade to a dif. ecu. My buddy with the supra is installing an SP67. HKS FMIC and a few other goodies. Its not gonna be the fastest thing on the road, but it'll still be something to contend with.<IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0">

IMO, i would keep the turbo ecu and just get the greddy emanage full setup. You get control over fuel trim, ignition, and timing(i think) and is a datalogger. It costs a little less than a stand alone, and is very tuner friendly. You can even get the big tv looking thing for it! Pretty sweet, and it's totally piggy back( it does very well for a piggyback). That means that when you decide to upgrade to a different car, you can take it with you!!! Not that bad at all!!!</P>

Yea I'm gonna tune at the dyno's first time so that I have a basemap that will be worth something later on. When I start changing my setup it will be easier already having a basemap thats highly tuned. Plus I do get a discount if I go in a group so it will be rather nice. I think I'm going with AEM or DSMLink. I'm prob. gonna decide/order sometime next week. Yea I am going to go with the piggyback though. I'll prob. invest in a pocketlogger soon so I can do my own tuning, but until then I'm just gonna have to get it done at the local dynos. Also, Which would be better to tune with; 93 octane or 106 octane? I've heard opposing views about tuning with each. Problem is each of those views were from guys who didn't drive Mitsubishi's. Any thoughts?

DO NOT GET THE AEM! Not very good, many people are starting to realize that now. The DSMlink is a good choice, but think about when you wanna sell your car, you'll lose out on the $800 you spent on the dsmlink. Where-as the Greddy system you can take out of your spyder before you sell and just put in your new car. Anyways, it's better to tune with the fuel you're going to use more. So the nod goes to 93. Remember, timing goes a long way to extracting power on higher octane fuel.

I've never heard anything but good comments about AEM. I've used it myself and loved it. What have you heard about it though? I'm not ever planning on selling my car in its stock form so when I sell it I will sell it as is so the DSMlink might be a good choice. Very true about the fuel. I drive the car daily so 93 would prob. be the best choice. Thanks for the info.</P>

I was messin around in a 4door turbo skyline!!! Well, someone else was, but i was in the car! We didn't race anybody, but we floored it from a stop and i got pushed back in the nice soft nissan seat. I think ima turn nissan now....i just need a skyline. Oh, for spyderman, the AEM system has it's little quirks and odd ends. A few dsmer's didn't like it because the interfaces were hard to use and get used to. You'll see a lot of people selling theirs on ebay or dsmtrader. The DSMlink is much better, but still $600+

well i got a story thats gona hurt u guys, one of my friends got a eclipse GST and the other got a interga GSR and they been talkn s**t about whos car is faster for about 3 months now well they finaly raced. well that GSR walked all over him so there like well try it again so they went for it and the GSr got him by about 2 car links well i think i need to drive the GST for him so it will show that integ up<IMG src=smileys/smiley7.gif border="0">

There's a lotta turbo dsm guys that can't launch and give dsm's a bad reputation. Can you beleive a 94 gst guy only running low 15's? I was like "Man, you don't need that car, try racing something else like maybe a bicycle or somethin." The thing is though, the guy was happy about it. He said he wanted 14's but 15's are ok. I can't beleive they let that loser on the strip after the first time. The car was modded too, K&amp;N intake and buchur exhaust. He kept saying that there's "no way to avoid the wheelspin, he was launching perfectly." That about got me and myfriends a little upset since he *thinks* he knows what he's doing and won't listen to reason. He launchs like he has an automatic, he just lets the clutch out slowly and floors it. After he bogs a little for the first second, he get's some pretty bad wheelspin and kinda takes off. Trap speeds were decent though....not too embarrasing, but everyone there was like "this guy is a moron". Oh, good kill on the geeser, Crash. And 91, the RSX is crap. Race him, beat him, and then laugh at him some more. </P>


Update: my spyder ran a 14.87 on these new Ventus tires. Not too bad, but i kept chirping it on the 1st-2nd shift. I'm aiming for a mid to low 14, but if i fix my motor mount and get some softer tires, i'm sure i can hit it. The motor mount on the drivers side is torn so i get some wheel hop if launch too aggresively. Spyderman, haven't heard from you lately....</P>

Here's a story: A fewweeks ago I was driving from Boston to Albany in my '96 eclipse spyder gs with a passenger, my friend was driving talon AWD turbo alone, and another friend in his Integra gsr with a passenger. The integra buddy just bought that car 3 days prior and it was his *dream* car. It was pretty nice, several aftermarket items on it, and just overall looked excellent. My other buddy with the talon had put quite a bit of money into it and was pushing about 350 HP (atleast that's what he said). My car was the only stock one.</P>


Anyway, we're running back passing each other between 100-110 mph. It starts raining kinda steady, and then a few minutes later it starts pouring down rain. By this time we're at 115 fairly steady. I'm trying to race the talon, even though I know that it kicks my ass.</P>


The integra drops back, prob cuz of the rain. Me and the talon eventually got up to 120-125. I dropped back a bit and then gunned it, passing the talon on the right by going into a on ramp, and hit just short of 130 mph in the pouring down rain. Of course I then hear his turbo spool up even more, and freakin' blows by me when I was already doing 130...</P>


So what happened to the integra? A few hours later when we called him on the cell, found out that he had problems with traction so he slowed down to about 55 mph and was changing to the slow lane when he hydroplaned real bad flipped a 180 in the middle of the interstate slamming into the concrete barrier and then proceeded into the guard rail...His dream car wrecked 3 days after he bought it. He came short of$300from totaling it.</P>


Funny thing is me and the talon never had problems with hydroplaning, so I guess the moral of this story is to buy all weather tires or get a AWD car...</P>

I think it is the GS-T but I'm not sure...it doesn't say on the car. It doesn't even say it is an Eclipse on the back. It says on the title but I can't remember right now [&:] It is a 2.0 Turbo. Thanks for the help.

gst all the way then dark... its predominant with torque stear. so that answers your question.

man...all i'm saying is typing (grammar & spelling) like a kindergarten kid, will get you no where w/some people. (me being one of them) Anyway...there are a few flaws in some of the posts above....but i'll hold my tongue....anyway....i don't drive a fast car...lol...not yet atleast, but i've honestly taken a few...focus 2dr, my gf's 03 civic ex, 98 accord 4 dr, 98 spyder gs, a handful of Civics (crx's & si's included). I honestly don't fool around w/the heavyweights unless they provoke me. I.E., I was at a local car wash spot just WAITING on my buddy to finish getting his car done and these teenagers pull up in a yellow and black 02 style mustang....pulls up next to me and starts revving his pos like he's the ****. He's got 2 girls in the back and his buddy in the front. So i just give the friendly nod, but for some reason, this kid would not take no for an answer. Regardless, I ditch my boy for a few and follow what appears to be a Cobra...so i know i'm dead...we stop and he lets the 2 girls out (smartest thing he did). so we line up at this empty intersection and the passenger counts down from three....enter me, the usual wheel hopping SOB, I decide, since I'm going to lose, I'll just gently slip the clutch....well, i take off one tire fire style and i look next to me...then in the side view, then in the rear....this guy hasn't moved.....I'm like wtf...is there a cop??? so i pull back around and ask....he said his foot slipped off the clutch. yah..ok guy.
So, he insists we line up again...ugggh, here we go. We line up again....and the same **** happens. C'mon, who can make this **** up?? All I'm seeing is his car just sitting there. So I stop, get out and get in his car...i have only driven a stang once (my best friend's 01 Cobra convertible)....well, needless to say, I dumped the **** out of his clutch....and nothing...i felt no power....not like my friends. So I pop the hood....what I saw made me almost piss myself...with laughter...it was a "Fake Snake". The kid put the badges on....I couldn't believe this....it was the regular joe blow stang you see grandma driving. What a dick.

Im so mad i just got done driving to drop off a video at the movie store and then some civic comes up and then Im just driven normaly and it blows by me and then at the next stop light all the kids laugh and ****. Then they won't race again, so mad now theyl be like we beat ur car and stuff.

all you folks with the talons and eclipses need to quit playing with those over priced underpowered hondas and step up and race a true sport compact!! im not talking about wrx's or evo's which are nice cars but try racing a dodge srt-4 and you see what a true sport compact can do!!!!! mods are: atp turbo stage 3, mopar stage 1 ecu,mopar BOV,magnecore 8.5 race wires,high flow fuel pump,750cc injectors,CAI,3"down pipe,3"exhaust,2"drop all around,mopar SS w bushings,centerforce stage 3 race clutch, Dynoed 400hp at the crank and 365hp at the wheels, with a little more tinkering could see close to 450hp at crank and 415-420 at wheels!!!!

I test drove the GTO yesterday...and I MUST say she's quite a lady....you will understand, once you test drive one.

I was looking at the GTO before I bought my SRT, beautiful car its just to heavy!!! they say 350hp but once you add in the weight and size of the car your probly talking only 280-285hp at the wheels which isnt worth 30-35k! I was driving home the other day hoping to find someone to race but as luck would have it there was nobody on the roads. Just as I thought it was going to be another lame night I pulled up to two cars at the red light one was a 04 EVO and the other was an AWD GSX and the third lane next to them was wide open so the gentleman I am pulled up next to them and gave them a nice couple of revs.. They were kind enough to rev back and the onslaught was on!!! As the light turned green the EVO and GSX;s AWD launched them perty hard. As I dumped the clutch my tires lost all traction(even with the quaffie differencial). But once may car caught traction and my new stage three kicked in it was game over!!!!(full boost is seen at 3000rpm all the way thru 6700rpm) The first car to go down was the GSX, I think I passed him at 120mph then came the EVO which had a good lead. But Ive noticed after racing a couple of Evo's that there really not alll there cracked up to be, they'll get you from a dig but their top end sucks thats why you'll always find an EVO driver wanting to run from a dig then from a roll!!! Anyways, I finally caught the EVO and procceded to wave high and bye to him at around 155ish!!!!! So what started out as a slow drive home ended up being a great oppurtunity to try out my new stage 3!!!!!!!! REMEMBER ITS A NEON UNTIL IT BLOWS YOUR DOORS OFF THEN ITS A SRT-4

Just to let you know Im an equal oppertunity racer, that race against the EVO and GSX were just my most recent one. If it were two other cars at the light I would have raced them just the same!!! Why would I come on to this web site to start problems, I actually am a fan of the eclipse. If you knew your cars background you would know that the ECLIPSE your driving or any other mitsubishi at that wouldn't be around today if it wasn't for Chrysler/Dodge saving them from bankrupcy in the late 80's , so were basicly like step brothers in the sport compact world!!!!!!!!! And yes I do know how to launch but you try turning 400hp thru your front wheels and see if you can keep them from breaking free!!! First off what ever gave you the notion I was some spoiled rich ****ing kid with tons of money to unload???? Im actually a 30 year old man who works hard for his money and just so happens to have love for the sport compact!!!! If you would of read what I had to say I said I was a big fan of the ECLIPSE and I actually wanted one for the longest time. It just so happens when I was out looking at cars to buy I stumbled across the SRT which was at the dealership right next door to the MITSUBISHI dealership. As for having tons of money to throw into my car that again shows your lack of car smarts. I bought my car out the door for 23,500 and to get the horsepower ive only sunk $5500 in after market parts!! And one more thing about me being a dick and bragging to much sorry but I thought I was under the forum STREET/STRIP any good kills post here?? See thats one thing about sport compact forums if you get on a forum about cars other then yours and post a good kill your automaticly considered a dick or your braggin to much!!! I ran my brothers APR STAGE 3 VW 1.8T the other day it was a close race,he's pushing 21psi and 326hp at the wheel, we got them up to around 140mph but had to back off because at 140 traffic at a red light comes at you in a hurry!!!! Raced a 'Stang tuesday night. Hahaha, guy didnt even know how to shift. First light he killed it and i was laughing at the next light up. he got pissed and revved his engine again. So i revved mine. Hahaha, love to see the look on a pushrod power punk's face when he hears that turbo spooling. Well i took him, i got about 3 cars ahead of him and started braking and slowing down. Then all of a sudden he flies by me. Such a sad moment. i hate when you beat someone and start slowing down, then they all speed by you acting cool and like they one or something. It kinda makes me laugh its so sad.

Jeez, If I were pushing 140mph on a light to light run, I'd definitely stick to the strip. You maybe 30, but you're really not that intelligent are you? Yes, I OCCASIONALLY have a sprint here or there, but you are 8 years older than I am, that's something that the average kid my age would be doing. Not to say that when I get old(er), that I don't want to still drive fast and have a good time, but if you continue to drive like that man....it's trouble. Ok...let me apologize in advance for knocking your intelligence level, but as a grown-ass man, you need to atleast TRY and steer the youngsters that read/post on this site in the right direction. Yes....and that's why I'm only 4 points from my first suspension. Sure, in my younger days, I had my fun....i couldn't imagine who wouldn't, but there comes a time when you say to yourself, "I've got a family to worry about..." etc. Even though I'm not married, if say I got in a wreck because I was street racing...that not only would look bad on me, but it would shine an extremely "bad light" on the USAF....which in turn would issue me paperwork (& not the good kind)....& on top of that probably WOULD NOT COVER MY MEDICAL BILLS. So, by going to the strip, filling all the appropriate safety paperwork out ahead of time w/my Commander, I can race and not have to think about crap like that....AGAIN....just be safe and think w/your heads guys...I know most of you know more than you wish to let on sometimes.

I live 10 miles outside of the city so when you leave my subdivision you've got ten miles of perfectly straight 3 laned highway in both directions so it makes it easy to open them up! No bull****,but in that ten miles of open road you can easily run two to three different cars at unreal speeds,(no traffic, and its an unincorperated county so there aren't ever any cops!) When I said that traffic comes to you fast at 140 it wasn't light to light traffic we were on em a good 1-2 miles before we started shuting them down because we were getting close to town and we noticed the traffic was stopped at a red light! I'm not that dumb to run 140mph in the city in and out of traffic. Me and my crew take are cars up to Bandamere racetrack every Wednesday night to run em from 6pm to 12midnight! (crew:02 apr stage 3 vw 1.8t,03corvette z06,99 audi s4,04 mustange mach1,and buddy just bought 04 evo) last wednesday ran my car at 12.09 1/4 at 126mph, I just bought the DEI CRYOGENIC INTAKE AND FUEL SYSTEM W/INTERCOOLER SPRAYER to drop my air temp going thru my CAI by 35 degrees and it freezes my fuel bar to -80 to remove the heat so i get a more drastic boost of power, and then I bought the intercooler chiller to freeze the air that is running to the turbo for a bigger boost. Bought the whole set up for around $400! I'll post my time slips after I get all my new toys and take it up to the track! (shooting for a 11.94-11.95 1/4) We'll see! Yes, enlisted folks get M-16s. If you are a weapons courier (i.e. me), you carry a Desert Eagle. Packs a NICE punch might I add.

Anyway, on to kills, pulled up next to a SXT4, you know the NT version of the SRT4, last night. It was the funniest thing i think i ever heard, yall know the turbo noise makers you pointed out a while back, well this stupid ass punk kid had one on his car. It was friggin hillarious when he punched it and didnt go anywhere, pulled up next to me at the next light and tried again. Right after i smoked him the second time he pulled off the main street in embaressment. Funniest damn thing ive seen in a while. Oh, and my cars not exactly fast, not slow but damn it was funny.

i have two stories actually, one sad story about this poor man i raced in my twin turbo 300zx. tis guy had a 1984 3rd generation camaro with a 454 in it instead of the 350 v8. i thought i had a good chance against it;), untilk i realized that the intersection i was at was an intersection where it had a left turn yield in one side of the intersection. now any smart stop light racer knows that people that have a left turn yield dont always yield to the light. well it just so happens that us coming from the opposite direction of the left trun yeild side had a guy coming that i guess new it was abou tto turn green so he took the left turn at about 30 at least(he had a fast car too). well anywayz i tried to tell the guy in the camaro it wasnt a smart move at this intersection but he just called me a pu$$y, and reved his 454 v8 some more so i just said fine, if you accidentaly wreck its not my fault i warned you. well light turned green at the rigth time and the camaro blew right off the line and he collisioned with the guy with the left turn yield(he had a mustang cobra). after hte wreck i got out of my car and said "dude are you ok" and he said "HOLY $%#^. i cant believed this happened. then he apologized for calling me that name and said i was smarter then him and i was like "damn right lol". well then cops came and yada yada yada.

as for my other story its not as interesting, i raced a 350 v8 stingray and beat it, not to hard with my twin turbo 300zx. aight thanx for reading hope you enjoyed it.:D

Finally got a kill some dumb kid in his tiburon and another in a lude. I killed them off the line and there just like well my clutch is worn out and I need a new one and the other just said that he misshifted. I don't know why I even raced them it was so easy I just needed the confidence boost I guess. I was so mad though there were all these dumb kids at this new auto shop that opened, there all just like im gonna get a civic and make it all fast and the furious. There were people that had cans on like accords and camrys so ****in stupid.

Those are the folks you want to race NATE. Heres what you do, find a group of HONDA owners that you know talk **** and think their cars are untouchable and ask them if they want to race and if they would be willing to make it interesting ,garunteed they will jump on it just for the plain fact that they have talked so much **** that if they dont accept your challenge they cant save face in front of all their boys and maybe even girlfriends! Im not saying you should run for hundreds of dollars but you know race for $20,$30 or what ever(you tend to scare people away with big bets) Then you make sure you run him in a place were all his boys can watch as you stomp that ass!! That my friend is how you get street credibility, It dosent matter if you kick the **** out of HONDA or if you get your ass handed to you by a COBRA people will see your not afraid of runing anyone and they will be on the look out for your ride! LOL...yep! I got burned BADDDDDD 2 nights ago. I was on the interstae and a WRX rolled up beside me, it had a good sounding exhaust but other then that I couldn't tell of anyother mods. Well, I taped the gas and dropped a gear. Before I let off the clutch he was GONE! I could do nothing but laugh. I should have know I did not have a shot in hell, but...it was fun to watch him speed off. I love those cars!

well i got smoked horribly too, yesterday night. If you have read my post about on page 8 i smoked a 3rd generation camaro that had a 350 block in it. well it just so happens that i saw another 3rd generation camaro(i guess these cars are very common), but the only difference is he had a 504 block in it.[sm=smiley3.gif] yeah i was like how did you get that beast in there. wel it was in there cause i talked with him after the race and he was like "although your 300zx had twin turbo, my 504 can still smoke your @$$." i was like no kidding. he said he spent a whole bunch of money suping it up he just decided to sell his suped up 454 and put in a brand new 504.
All i can say is huge props for that guy, cause his camaro is freakin awesome. i can truly say someone killed me horribly and they have my utmost respect. i think i will get a few pointers on racing too, cause he did seem like a better driver then me also. but then again this guy is like 36 and me well not that old lol.

So i was on the highway the other night and this honda pulls up next to me, i wasnt really in the mood to race but he gave me the finger, so it was on, anyway were doin about 100 down the hwy, now the hwy we were on splits into 2 seperate hwys, both headed east, just one you can go faster on cause theres never any cops on it. so we both pull onto the one that doesnt ever, EVER, have cops, and we see cherries, OH ****, by this time were doin probly 115-120, so me, bein a smart driver, i pull over and wait to get arrested, well this dumb ass in the honda decided he could outrun this highway patrolman. so i pull over, the patrolman flies by me and is attempting to pull this kid over, when all of a sudden, wham, the civic gets hit by another civic pulling onto the hwy from an on ramp. turns out this other civic was trying to race a 99 GSX, fully modded, strip car. lookin back on it, it was pretty damn funny, not to be an ass, but thats what you get when you try to outrun a cop. i heard the kid was in the hospital for about 2 weeks, got released and was sent directly to prison for attempted vehicular manslaughter, the passenger of the honda guy was his girlfriend and pressed charges on his ass. Let that be a lesson, if your getting pulled over, just pull over and accept the concequences of your actions, if not you will end up either dead or in jail. Needless to say i wont be racing down the hwy for a while.
Oh, and the other driver is sueing the guy who hit him for like 80 grand.

The other night some kid pulls up in a Grand Prix GTP I think it was the one that is super charged. I was really lookin for a race, and it just pissed me off that kid comes up and just revs his engine then I rev back and he then starts laughing and is all like thats only a 4 banger. Then we go on 3 honks, and this kid took for ever to get off the line he got a horrible launch probably like never raced or something, then I just slow down to be talk then he just blows by me and I saw him the next day and he was all talking to his friends about how he killed red GSX. That made me so mad and I asked if he wanted to race and then hes all like no I can't I'm low on gas and I said the loser would fill the winners tank, and he's all like no I have to go now, that kid pissed me off.

i hate that crap, goddamn punks, anyway, no the cops were to busy with the other two cars to even worry about me, i dont know if the cop even knew i was racing this kid, cause he didnt come back to the car or anything, i just sat on the shoulder of the road for about five minutes, no cops came by my car, so i just left, i got really lucky that cop pulled us over, or i would have been the one who hit that civic. and it turns out i knew the guy in the GSX, i worked security with him at the casino i used to work at. some weird **** goin on lately, no one around here knows how to drive, ive seen like 15-20 wrecks in the past couple of days. i really think the DMV needs to make people take classes that really teach them how to drive and not rely on parents and friends teaching, cause most of them dont know how to drive anyway. and people need to get off their goddamn cell phones, aaahhhh, i hate that ****.

Got a kill today, I wasn't able to find one last night but I got one today when I was coming back from work, a GS-T pulls up and starts to rev. So I rev back, ususally i don't like to race other dsm's, but this was one of those rich kid punks from high school or something, so I did. I just kill him, it was like he never had raced before, he gave it way to much gas and spun his tires for a little bit. I thought it was going to be close because, usually you get like a BOV and intake and a boost controller before you get a exhaust system(all I have is a BOV and intake, and a boost controller because all he had on was cat back exhaust. He didn't know anything about the car either that mad me so mad why people like that can even get these cars. It was kind of fun though, he wanted to go again for like 10 bucks, and I still smoked him, and he paid, it was so funny the look on his face acting all cocky at first then all mad.

racin another dsm is fun every once in a while, good kill nate....... k, had a really good long race last night. i was drivin down one of the hwy's near my city, bout 2 in the mornin, no cops around, and a new style celica gt-s pulls up to me, the one with the action package, only makes it weigh more, haha, so were runnin around 75 and he guns it, so of course playin along i drop it to 4th and floor it, so im in 4th runnin right along side him when he drops it and guns it again, so i let off the gas and immediatly floor it, just so i get that extra little jump, and pull up next to him again, then this guy looks at me and holds up 5 fingers, signaling hes in 5th gear, so i hold up 4, now were doin around 90, so he floors it and so do i, then i hit 5th and leave him behind. we were probly racing for about 3 miles on this straight through strech fo hwy. so i pull off to gas up a little and he pulls in behind me, we get to talkin and he has a few mods, which should of made him faster than me, untill i tell him that action package on his car was the one reason he couldnt pull on me, u shoulda seen the look on his face, he was like why, shouldnt it help with drag, and i tell him that the weight of the kit on his car far outdoes any bennifits the kit might help with on drag, was the funniest damn race ive had in a while. anybody else get anythin good this weekend?

thanks, i just got another one last night against a 4 cyl mustang, it was funny, he tried pulling on me from a stop light, goin uphill, i wasnt even trying to race this kid and i still beat him, once i hit 5th he pulled ahead of me and just stayed up there like he was pulling on me, we got to the next street and he pulled off, it was great cause my gf wanted me to smoke his ass at the next stoplight, and when he pulled off she was yellin out the window at his ass, it was ****in hillarious. guess its not really a fair race, but a kills a kill, even if your not tryin, hehe.........

I raced a Lude vtec the other day and killed it. It had a body kit, and all the other stuff those people with the hondas get. It was funny though it had one of those noise maker things that made it sound like a turbo, and he comes up and was like is that a gs, than I'm just like sure and he starts to rev. So then I give a fev revs back, then the light turns green and I just smoke him and I'm like what the, he should be keeping up because I thought he had a turbo, then I pull over at the gas station and talk to him, and I'm just like it's a gsx, it's a 96 and dosn't have the turbo wing. I was so shocked though I've seen those noise things online but I've never seen anyone have one.

Just got my car back from being worked on so tonight I wanted to get a kill. I found out where all the rich highschool kids hangout so me and a friend went around in our gsx's and searched for a kill, we found some kids that would race. He was in a Evo I saw him pull in and stall the car trying to back it up. Then he pops the hood in front of all the other spoiled kids, and me and my friend just laughed because, he had nothing done, but you know all those kids were like cool car. So my friend and I walk up and were like much did your parents spend on this car, and he's like I bought it, and were like ok what ever, than heres the funny part were like what kind of engine do u got, hes like a evo engine from japan and were like wtf is he talking about, and then my friends all like do you have the same engine as my dsm and hes like dsm? whats that, then were all like does 4g63 ring a bell and hes like no why, then my friend's like its the same engine in my car and hes like no its no, then my friend pops the hood. It looks nothing like a stock engine, a huge EVOIII turbo, huge intake, and all this other stuff, IC Pipes a FMIC, and all that and a Huge BOV. So then my friend asks him to race him but hes like no, it's to easy for me, but then he says he would race me, my car looks fairly stock, so he's all like I'll race that though. So then I'm like sure lets go, so we go and find a spot where there aren't many cops and I give 3 honks and I launch and he just sits there. So then I stop and he just takes off once I stop, then he comes back and I said wtf are you doing hes like I only race from lights, so I'm just like your a dumbass, this is a waste of time,but then he finally races and we agreed to let one of the other cars honk, and I just kill him off the line, I'm thinking why isn't he even close, I guess he didn't know how to launch he just sat there for awhile and bogged the clutch, or something, or made the flywheel spin to much or something, then at the end of the race the kid and his friends were all just like he got lucky so I'm like do you wanna go again and we do and I still smoke him and he's all like my car is broken down though right now. But it was funny my friend just killed some kid who was all like its a 4 cyl those can't beat anything, and talking all bad about imports, then he just got smoked him he was driving a stang and it had some huge ass wing and all this dumb stuff only had exhaust but had all these gauges, and some huge ass tach. Then just the look on all those kids faces after they lost was just hilarious, so now I bet there at home asking there parents to buy them more stuff for their cars.

So anyone in MN in the twin city area you should come down to apple valley some time to Mcdonalds and race all those kids, I'm gonna go lookin for a kill tommorow to hope I get one.

Yeah, sometimes it is nice to get in a race you know you are gonna loose just for a good laugh. I got another kill Wednesday afternoon. Don't know the year but it was a more recent Ford Probe...do they make those anymore? It was fun..not really close but I know I won't race on wet roads agian [:@] Nothing happened, just kinda got an uneasy feeling doing 90 on wet streets in the middle of afternoon traffic. Probably not the smartest decision on my part, but the guy rides up alongs side and starts revving his engine. I look and we nod and take off. Wasn' too long before we come to a red light and just kinda laugh and shake our heads. Nice to find people who will race and then be respectable when they loose.

My boy bought a 95 gs-t awhile ago and has been eating up everyone since....the car only has minor mods...a new downpipe, 1g b.o.v. catback exhaust and boost controller. he has it set at a steady 16 psi, hes beaten other gst's, a gsx, and a chipped 325i

Holy crap, this was one of the first threads i started....i'm glad to see it's now the largest thread and still going strong. I got a nice story for you guys though. Racing an rx8 in the back roads. I'm coming home from school one evening, clear day, dry pavement and twisty backroads. A nice Blue RX8 comes like racing behind me and overtakes me and another car right in front of me. I didn't even see him coming up behind me, i only noticed when he was like on the other lane overtaking. So we come to something like a fork in the road and the car in front of me goes the other way so it's just me and the rx8 on a single road going up a nice twisty type hill. Well, needless to say he totally killed my poor lil spyder. I couldn't even keep up with him. Like he'd really slow down for the bends(not an experienced driver i guess, or maybe doesn't want to wreck his new car), and i'd catch him on the bends, but when it was open road, he floored it and went. I kept catching up at the bends and he kept flooring it at the straights. I really don't think he could drive all that well because he kept miscalculating a few turns and ended up having to brake after the apex as not to fly off the road or go sideways. Could i take him in a open road course? Prolly not, that rx8 rewards even the most unskilled drivers and makes them out to be hero's. Could i beat him if i had an rx8? I'm no Rhys Millen but....perhaps....perhaps. Oh, and i killed an rsx(don't know if it was a type s or not but prolly wasn't) at a red-light drag. Also intimadated a couple a civics another time, but hey, they're honda's...nothing much.

yea, i tried racing an rx8 once, to damn funny..... hit the gas and he left me eatin smoke, its fun though..............

Weekend's now here cous...

I have another story, this time a last gen prelude. It was a highway race and he totally lost. I'm going up our new three lane, of course in the far left lane, and the whole thing is empty. All the cars liked are in the middle or right lane, but traffic wasn't harsh or anything. I'm going like 70-75mph and notice a prelude just lane changed into my lane. I saw the back and it had the honda OEM aftermarket body kit. It had a loud ass exhaust and was lowered. I'm like "this dude better drive a little faster or i'll be right on him soon". Well, I'm catching up to him kinda quickly because he's only going like 55mph. He speeds up a little, passes a car in the middle lane then gets back in the middle lane. I don't really think much of it as i pass him. I can then see him in my mirror like swerve back in my lane and floor it. He catchs up to me and like gets right on my bumper. I'm like "alright, i'll move, but it won't be pretty". So the middle lane is all clear ahead now and i switch lanes, drop it in third gear and floor it. Dude keeps up with me and where approaching 85mph. I shift to fourth and pedal to floor...start creeping away from him. Now we're doing about 95mph and i just keep it planted. Soon 105 and he's starting to fade a little quicker now. As soon as i hit 110, i let off and hit the brakes. Well, the guy is still behind me and stays behind me. I slow down to about 60-65 and go back in the left lane. And that's the end.

I beat a civic the other day. I think that it was a turbo, it sounded like it and had a fmic. I smoked it but I think he like misshifted or something because I killed him, or it just might of been a civic with one of those noise maker things. I raced my friend he's got a T/A and I got killed, it was fun I beat him off the launch and then he caught up and just flew by.

nice kill on the honda..... saw a SVT mustang race a Camaro SS the other day, they had to be head to head for a good 500 ft. before they saw a cop and slowed down, course the cop just let em go.........

The best thing i've ever seen was an E36 M3 race a TransAm Ram-Air. The T/A won, but the M3 was giving him a good run up til about third gear....then the torque king T/A took over. I raced my cat up the driveway yesterday.....she won....[:@]

So my friend and I were on our way to a party last weekend and this saturn with four people pulls up to me. He has a sound system up in it and turns it up to try and be cool and it sounds like ****. He revs his engine and me and my friend says just do it. So I let him take off and get ahead of me a little bit. Then I just floor it and catch up to and blow right by him. We pull up to another light and this time my friend rolls down his window so the guy can see me. He revs his engine again and I look at him and ask him if he is serious. The light turns green and this time I leave him in my smoke. All I can see are his head lights getting farther and farther away. I just laughed. The next light I have to turn left and he is in the right lane and just flicks me off and drives away. I dont race very much since my car is stock but I did order my CAI and pulley so I happy about that. Not a good kill cause it was a saturn full of people but I thought it was funny.

You know of course that dude driving the saturn is gonna run his mouth and say he would have won if he didn't have people in there with him. Or he'll tell people it was a "real close race" and he had to slow down ause he saw a cop or deer or ufo or soemthing stupid.

Anyways, did i ever tell you guys about my worst race ever? It was me against my buddy's mom's minivan, a 92 dodge caravan auto. We line up in big T-way's parking lot and wait for our other friend to signal us to go. It was like 1:00 at night so we had to have our other friend go to way end of the little minimall parking lot and put is lights where the curb was. Well, while we're waiting, i just do a burn-out for the hell of it, and am thinking "this is the stupidest race i'm doing". Our friend finally signals us to get ready, i rev the engine back and forth, and then he signals us to go, and i dump the clutch at 4000rpm. Anyone that knows the torque curve of a 4g64 knows that most torque is made from 2000 to 4000 rpm, so it's not good. I did one huge ass burno-out and my buddy just speeds on ahead of me. I shift to 2nd gear and everything slows down, and i get back traction. My buddy's like half-way down the strip already and i just floor it and shift the best i can. Well, he beat me by a lot, but if we could check our trap speeds, mine woulda been like 80mph and his would have been 50mph. He beat me like three times after that too in the same caravan.....man i suck. That was when i first got my spyder though, so whatever....[:'(]

hehe, yea, when i first got mine i didnt have a clue how to drive it, just rev it and dump the clutch, i thought that was how you were supposed to launch, not knowing anything about the torque band or power band or anything like that...... its a lot different than a rwd with a lot more hp....... speakin of racin minivans....... i was racing, playin around, with my buddy down the main street in my city, like 2 o'clock in the mornin, raining, in my stang, him in a 96 or 97 minivan, so we hit about 80 in a 50 zone, turn down the street to get to my nieghborhood, get to my street and suddenly there's three cops out of nowhere, we didnt even know they were following us, the one clocked us durrin the middle of this run, and didnt catch up for like 2 min, he radio'd for the other two to head us off from the other side of the city, when they finally stopped us, they couldnt give us a ticket cause they had lost sight of us and when they spotted us again we were goin the speed limit........ the cops were like you know that was really stupid to race in the rain like that, right..... of course i was like what are you talkin about, i wasnt racing anybody, now by this time hes trying to trap me in my own stupidity, so he says he can give me a ticket, and im like for what, he said for doin 80 in a 50, im like how do you know it was me, its raining, could you give an accurate description of the car you saw racing to a judge in court, so he says yea, a 92 mustang, so i tell him no you cant, for one this is a 90, two its a gt 5.0, and three its a convertible, a judge wont take a 92 mustang as an accurate description, so hes all ok, well you guys have a good night and be carefull, he left the car and i just started laughin my ass off...... i just told this cop that i could get away with it, without incriminating myself at all, and that i know what a judge would say and what he would accept as evidence, if he really knew what he was doin he woulda hauled my ass to jail in a heartbeat...... i think thats the only time i ever got away with somethin like that, gotta love rookies........ probly why all the cops in my city hate me........hehe............[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

i had a USMC sticker on my stang and never got any trouble for it, as soon as i got a sport compact, bam, they were all over me, i even got out of a 95 in a 55 ticket once cause i had a USMC bumper sticker on the pickup that my dad drove, cop looked at it, asked if i was in the service, i said yes, he ran me real quick to make sure i didnt have any warrents, then comes back and gave me a 10$ seat belt violation.... that was friggin great, i stood there for about 20 min. talkin to him about the Corps and his son who was in the Army...........

No one got any kills this weekend I can't untill my new wastegate comes so I got none for awhile.

no kills, but i did get a ticket....... doin about 100 down a country road in the middle of the state (had to go to my g/f family reunion) and figured what the hell, i never get to open my car up around my area (to many damn cops) and of course comin around a corner my radar detector lights all the way up, flew past this cop doin about 90, so he pulls me over and gives me a ticket for 80 in a 55, i didnt even try to talk my way out of it cause he knew that i knew that he got me, he was pretty cool about it though, he just asked me to slow down and be carefull.........

Ummm...i got a kill.

My spyder's dead. Really dead. Like not gonna be driven anymore for a long time. T-belt went out and bent 6 exhaust valves. The head is warped, and the entire valvetrain(including cams) is pretty messed up. And me being poor....well atleast i have another car now. Not my daddy's C-rolla, but the an 01 Corolla S model(automatic, or "autotragic"). My dad bought it to replace his 97 c-rolla, but now that this happened, he's giving the 01 to me. Cool thing is it's gonna be for free. Just a little info on my life, my parents *really* want me to focus on school. They don't want me worrying about driving and racing and putting too much emphasis on my car. They were willing to pay the $159/month car payment for the 01 Toy, but not the repair bill for the Spyder. The spyder is with the insurance company now, they've paid it off and given us a little extra....but it'll never be enough:(

I wasn't even racing or driving hard when the t-belt went out, just cruising @ 45mph to my house from work on saturday noon. Well.....atleast i'll remember the good times....good times. If you're wondering why this post is in purple, every DSM i've ever owned was this maroon color. The spyder was repainted black:(

I'm putting my wastegate on when I get time so hopefully this week I can get a kill, I wanna race a Type R or a stang or something fun.

I think they're like auctioning my spyder off for like 2 grand.....kinda sucks since i thought it was worth more. If i could, i would have saved up the money, but the auction ended recently and i think it's illegal anyways. I don't want anybody's money, i know what's it's like to not have any money in your pocket and i don't want people to be in that scenario because they're giving money to me. Unless you're like super-rich and you really want to give me some cash!

Anyways, onto the kill story....well, my 2001 corolla s isn't all to fast and i mostly drive on the right hand lanes now, but man, now i know what the vtec guys talk about. The car has the 1zzfe engine with vvti and basically a 4-door celica gt. When vvti phases in, you can really feel a difference, not like boost or anything, but the engine tone changes and things really pick up a little. I haven't raced anything yet, and i don't think i will anytime soon in that car. But this story isn't about me, my 2 buddies in their turbo 2g's were racing. One was a 97 gsx and the otehr was a 95 gst. The GSX was slightly modified, hks intake, apexi exhaust, underdrive pulley set, and a 40hp HKS sticker:D. The gst had a small 16g and 550cc injectors, 1g BOV, SAFC2, apexi exhaust, injen intake, and a 30,000lb+ downforce extreme mega Supra style Erebuni wing(color matched for that extra touch). For the most part, we were just trying to see if the gst was a contender off the line. It actually did pretty good, and was only half a car length behind the gsx after 1st gear. During 2nd gear the gst took over though. Despite having the same exhuast(both were apexi n1) the cars sound different. The GSX had a deeper tone at WOT and the gst sound a little like a turbo honda.

I got a kill before my clutch went out on the high way, I got a Type R. I smoked it off the launch and it never caught back up, it was funny though how he was all like I've got a vtec and no crappy eclipse girl car will beat me. Then after the race he's all like when I turbo my car I will kill you, then I'm all like dude by then I will have so much done it won't even be close, I hate how those honda drivers think. I think the launch really murdered my clutch, then after the race a few miles later I noticed my clutch start to slip, and Then it just went out and I had to get it towed, it sucked it was a long night getting it all figured out.

that sucks man, good kill, but costing u a clutch, seems like theres always a price for a really good kill, doesnt it, so what kinda clutch you gonna get now?........

so im drivin down the highway on my way to work the other day and a gst pulls up next to me, looks over and waves so i wave back, kinda pulls on me and slows to wait, so im all ok, ill play around a little......... long story short he smoked me, but it was fun, one of those good long races down an open strech of hiway, we went back and fourth till i hit 4th gear, then he pulled and just kept on goin, it was actually kinda cool cause i didnt think id even hang on that long............ he was probly just playin wit me though.........

I finally get a new vavle cover and get the engine to quit smoking and no one wants to race [:o] I have had a little bit of fun though, my wife just got an '05 Altima. It is the 2.5L 4 cyclender but it will haul ass! Wouldn't stand a chance against my GST, but good enough for her I guess.

I've been looking for a good kill lately but no one wants to race, I really was lookin for a v8 before I put my car away for the winter. I found a civic that just pissed me off so I went up and asked if he wanted to race. He was talking so much **** about how he beat a turbo eclipse that was heavily modded and how he wasted GSXs all the time. This was 100% rice, it had carbon fiber hood, lowered hub caps that were missing, and a huge ass wing and a loud ass exhaust system, it was louder then my friends t/a which has exhaust and headers, but the car sounded like crap. So then anyways we line up it was him and his girlfriend in his car and he laughps when I rev, then I honk and on the 2nd honk he takes off so then I'm like wtf, and then like right around 50 or 60 mph I just blow by him, and then I pull over into a gas station, and he just drives off. But owell this weekend I wanna find a Stang Gt, I'm done racing imports that are nts unless they are really asking for it.

Last night I was really pissed of cause my girlfriend broke up with me for no reason, so I went and drove to my friends house. He bought a ford fokus about two weeks ago and has learned how to drive it pretty well. We decided to go get some food around midnight and we both decide we want to drive so we both do. We pull up to a light and I go to his right side. As I am coming to a stop the light turns green. And I am like **** he is gonna beat me cause he got a better take off. But once I threw it into second I start gaining on him. Get into third and I am practically even with him. Once I threw it into forth I started pulling on him and he backed off. I thought I was going to lose cause he was a good car and a half ahead of me. I think if he would off had some mods he might of beat me or if my car was completly stock. It was fun. We are best friends so nothing was taken personal. He knew I would have beat him badly if I would have come to a complete stop and got a good take off.

yea, racing your friends is always the most fun, you can talk **** to em and just laugh it off, and even if you loose you know that your still friends, and no one really cares that way, its just all in good fun.............. good kill though, hey nate, good kill also, goddamn civic drivers.....................

Yeah those cars, need vtecs to get it over 100 mph, my friends neighbor, whos like 70 just bought a si because of the gas mileage. So basically they are just economy cars.

Driving my parents Patrol (4.2TD) and a guy in a Pajero pulls up beside me at the lights, challenged me to a drag. Fool. I smoked him something cronic, two car lengths ahead after about 50m. Easy kill. Add to the total the various Commodores/Falcons/Hondas/Toyotas i've eaten in the Skyline.
Of course I've also beaten a couple of Evos/WRXs in the Datto (full race conditions).

Nice kill, my friend raced a skyline, and beat it but he said it was hella fast. But anyways last night I was up all night looking for a kill, because I'm not driving it anymore, but I might during the weekend if it's nice. I found a Mustang GT I was looking for one the whole day the majority of them wouldn't race me. Then he lets me honk, he had some mods I think just exahust and intake. So then I absolutely handed it to him. Then later that night, around 10 I was driving on the highway with my friend and we heard some high pitch noise, like weed wacker and then we look over and some kids in a civic hatch pull up and just take off, so then of course I follow, and still catch up and fly by going like 110. Then eventually I slow down, and then he takes off again, and again I catch up then this time I pass him, then we merge off. At the stop light we started to talk, and he's all like oh a GSX, and I'm like yeah. Then he's says I have a Type R engine in my Civic, so then he like I would kill you on a light. So then I follow and we find a light, and he's all like ready I have a lot of mods, and the only thing I think he had was the engine and a huge can. So then I take off and beat him by atleast a few car lengths. Last night was pretty fun, I thought the stang would of put up a fight but I guess I was wrong, and I thought I was done racing hondas, but this guy was pissing me off.

This has the makings of a good forum, but its said to see that the biggest threads are the brag threads, is this a car forum or what? OCme on, get down and give us some tech info, fill out the other sections so that other mitsu drivers cruising the web can learn properly about their cars. Time to lift the game,

Best kill today: V6 Falcon, he missed 2nd gear and crunched into third (he had a sequential adapter) and totally ruined his 'box. He he he, sleeper Skyline strikes again!!

but yeah, the tech section is struggling. I'd help but I don't know a whole lot about fixing problems. I can install and fix THOSE problems.. but when someone asks what to do about a squeek or odd sound... its difficult to help.

Last week I got my 2 kills now my cars is in the garage on jack stands. I got a gs-t, and a 02 stang. I was suprised a gs-t wanted to race he pulled up to me and reved, then we took off I pulled way ahead then I started to slow down and he tried to pass me then I floored it and I didn't see him anymore. I also got a stang my friend said he new someone that would race so I said I would, only if it was the v8 and it was a gt, with just exhaust I think well anyways I beat it we only went up to like 80 though so it might of cought up later on but I doubt it. Well thats it thats my last kill for the year untill next summer. Now I am driving a Honda Accord, I can't believe I'm driving a honda I hate them so much but o'well it was a good deal.

yep, racing season is over here, roads are all startin to get slick at night, might be more fun if i had AWD, but with FWD it can be a little scary goin down the hwy doin 80 tryin to race somebody............. oh well, time to make some cash and build the car :D, cant wait for spring.........

It's sunny as hell here in cinci. It get's cold at night, but not enough to freeze. BTW, there's a dealership here selling a 99 Spyder GS with 65K for $10 grand. I was looking at it, but it's in kinda bad shape. Leaky cylinder head and even the tranny is leaking too. The dealership said that they usually drop prices on sports cars during the winter, but that leaky tranny could be a major problem. I'll just stick with my search for an aw11. Anybody have one they wanna get rid of? Oh, i have a kill. I was driving my daddy's 97 rolla and beat him in the 01 S. think i might take the 97 instead....Anyways, keep the kills coming.

To Datto, this was never meant to be a bragging thread, just a thread to showcase how much fun we have. Of course these guys have heard me preach about how the tech forum, along with any other forum isn't filled with eclipse members, needs more attention. However, we're just too fun-loving....which isn't a bad thing, we have a good member base, with more recurring members now. Back when i started this thread, i didn't think it would amount to much. Back then, we had an old forum style, like four recurring members, no mod, no admin, and no posters over 100(i broke that record!). Anyways, i didn't think this would be the most popular thread, but times change. I dunno, in a way i'm kind of happy this thread is the largest. Not for what it's content is, but it shows that there are actually a lot people congregate at this site and all have something to talk about. And the fact that we're all interested in what everyone else has to say is a good quality. But, i'm glad that even a relatively new member can drop in and see that some things do need to change a bit in this forum, and we have to lead by example....all you post-whoring mods had better be posting informative info from now on......or else[:@]!!!! J/K do whatever you want...:D

i drive an 02lancer oz, and where i live everyone and there uncle drive cavilers and i hate cavilers. the night before christmas eve i was on my way home and a silver z-28 caviler pulls up next to me. it was like 2 in the morning. this dude is all trying to look hard with his girl in the car. so to challenge me he flips on his under glows and revs up. My car is stock, i have only had it since nov 17 this year. he had an exhaust and a whole lot of apc stickers. the two of us were in a double left turn lane, and as soon as the arrow went green i got the drop on him and flew off the line. he keep tryin to get past me but i was not gonna let him disresect the diamonds.....mitsubishi love.

well finally got to race a new pontiac gto,was getting off the freeway when i saw him at the light turning the same way as me.he turned and went real slow when i got up beside him he floored it, so i did as well pulled about half a car in second,then when i went into 3rd it was all over for him i pulled bad on him hit the lights on him. i slowed down he got back beside me and gave me the thumbs up of defeat lol.

nice kill, love it when they just know they cant win and stop tryin.............. as for mrgordijev, ur lucky, i saw a kid racing during the day in the middle of rush hour like that and t boned somebody doin like a hundred........ needless to say that guy will never race again.......... turned into a four car accident........... with 2 fatalities and 6 injured.......... im not tryin to preach, but, personally, i try to put as few lives in danger when racing as possible......... good kill though.........

My buddy raced an STI the other with his 1g AWD. He won, but we already knew he would, he's got the fastest car out of all of us so it' no big suprise. A good race I did see was a pretty nice looking s13(ka24) race an FC3S N/A race. It was just me and some of my dorky friends gathering the other night(they're dorks because they make fun of my little c-rolla), and my buddy had only had his FC for about a month. He'd put on a Petit Racing Catback, Apexi Intake, SAFC2, some sweet Enkei RPM2 wheels, and nice Potenza's. The engine was recently rebuilt before he got it, and the it really is kinda quick. The S13 had a greddy catback, an SAFR(!), some weird intake system, some other Fuel mods, Motegi wheels, and had a really nice body kit and carbon fiber hood. They both lined up at this "unofficial" strip(it's this cool place we've found, it's like 30 yards from the Ohio River and runs parallel, but is kinda hidden since the highway 52 is downset to the right of it and blocked by tree's and crap. It's also closed off for the most part but there's only a dirt road that leads to it. The road is in....decent shape, there's a few potholes, but we'll fill those eventually. It' looks like the dirt road entrance part is where a police cruiser sits to tag speeders, so we're a little hesitant about going there all the time.) Anyways, they line up and we signal them to start. The s13 takes the lead by abot half a car length at first, but the mazda catchs up as they wind down first gear. The s13 shifts first, and loses a bit of distance but starts to regain. Then the Mazda bangs it in second and it's pretty much over from then. The FC just keeps closing the distance and then passes the s13. When the S13 shifts to third, the mazda makes a big leap ahead and is about a 1.5 carlength's away. Eventually they stop since the road gets worse the farther up you go, so they cover not quite a 1/4. I'm kinda glad the FC won, everyone is buying up S13's to pimp them out since they wanna join the "DORIFTO" bandwagon.....(For those of you not in the know, dorifto is katakana for drift....learned that in my senior year of japanese2)

i have a question lol..in my stock 97 RS eclipse..this dodge neon with a new exhaust and headers tries to race..but i was to tired to race since i was almost home.


i was just wondering wat you think the outcome of that race may of been since he was someone in the car and hes 4 door.
