interior door panel removal - 2000 Galant ES
need to get at driver side window mechanism to expose the window suspension. took the interior panel off but there is another panel integral with the door structure. any one have a diagram to disassemble/reassemble the panel and repair the window suspension? Sounds like everything came loose and the window is dropping into the well. thanks

yes, the interior trim panel was removed completely. I didn't realze that the interior door body panel is not removable and that all work is done through the panel cut-outs. Now i have to do the same to the passenger side door to expose the workings of the electric window as a model to work from. Thanks

I have the suspicion that you are trying to go thru the cloth piece because that whole panel comes out and if your trying to reach the switches they just snap off the door panel. Here is a picture on how to remove the door panel...
Remove all the screws in blue....
You will get this and can be removed to reach the power window parts....
Some will have a clear plastic like my Galant others have that dark plastic. Hope that helps...

yes thank you all. I've gotten to where the plastic has been removed. Now I need to figure out the mechanics of the raising and lowering of the window itself. My only thought is to expose the passenger side door as well to observe the mechanical assembly and action. The motor is functionning. It appears the driver side window is off the track and thereofre falls into the well of the door. thanks again
