Default Considering a 1996 Montero SR

Hello Folks-

Looking for some advice. Thinking of purchasing a 1996 SR, with 203K on it. Looks decent, runs pretty well. Leather interior is kinda beat up. Really like it, and will use it for mountain trips here in CO to fish and hike. No real serious off-roading, but definitely dirt and gravel roads.

The questions I have are:
What things should I be on the lookout for?

Also- I am reasonably handy with a wrench- and for my other cars I have relied on forums such as this for info and support quite a bit. From poking around this seems like a pretty active forum, which is good- and critical for the Montero I think, since it doesn't seem nearly as common. But for me a good enthusiast forum is critical.. Is this a good one?

Thanks in advance-
Brady
