Let us know.
I haven't had time to look at the service manual, but if a resistor pack is present...it could be burned up as well. not sure if we even have one though. I went through one on a Grand Prix years ago.

Found a diagram online, part #14. Doesn't look like it is too hard to get to.

Bit the bullet and ordered a new blower ($50). Will try to post pics of install for others to see how easy of a job it is.

Thumbs up

Installed the new blower in under 7 minutes. Very easy, I didn't take pics tho...

1) Remove glove box
2) Remove trim under glove box (2 body pins in the front)
3) Detach cable/hose
4) Unscrew three screws (phillips)

Installation is the reverse. Very simple, very easy, don't know how a dealership could charge more than $100 for this fix...

I followed this YouTube clip for a Lancer and it was 99% identical:

Thanks for the video and instructions. I replaced mine with your info which made it easy. It was obvious the bearings were seized. Sadly it still doesn't work. Fuze and fuze links were replaced. Is there a test for the blower speed resistor?

I can't seem to open this link. I'm troubleshooting a seized blower fan that I replaced and still doesn't work.
Thanks

In Canada on certain models they have a recall on the blower motor as it was manufactured wrong... Mine was making horrible noises randomly in my 2010 and the dealer fixed it for free.

Agreed, I received a recall notice as well for the blower motor. I would check with your dealership to see if your VIN is eligible or not.

Sadly, I already replaced mine...maybe I should have them replace it again and keep the one I bought as a spare.
