Anyone else use Ds shift selection?

Anyone else use Ds shift selection?
Car is still a bit slow of the line but Ds sure makes the vehicle gunner to drive especially on back roads
Does anyone know if Ds mode simulates shifts when the pedal if floored? I noticed it does this in D which I find annoying since it's a CVT...

I tried it a few times on regular pavement...TBH dont like it....very touchy and torquey(sp)?...didnt try to floor it...it just seems to keep going up in revs...I would never use it..I'm a grandpa type driver...lol. I could see it being fun once in a while though.

I have a Escort G2-Timer which I might configure and test 0-60 between all the modes, i.e. eco, drive, Ds, traction control off, etc to see what nets the best 0-60. Eco seems fine to me, seems like if you give it a little extra pedal it does pickup. Just trying not to drive the hard very hard, just over 2K miles.
I'm guessing all modes are probably about the same when floored. Can't expect too much from a N/A 2.4, except good gas mileage

It would be interesting to see how the modes compare to each other. I find the 4WD-E with ECO on is pretty gutless...when entering the highway it feels really sluggish...and you have to give it alot of pedal...I like to keep it on 4WD Auto..it accelerates well and feels nicely planted in city driving...for longer highway trips 4WD-E without ECO mode is best for cruising I suppose...but from what I understand you can just leave it in 4WD auto all the time...the AWC will reduce the rear wheel drive at highway speeds. It seems like a pretty smart system...I'm really enjoying my Outlander..and the gas mileage is good.
