Default New Bodyside Molding -- Installed

I've been looking for some door protection for my 07 Outlander for a while. The Euro Mitsubishi bodyside molding is nice, but would cost about $400 without paint.

So I did some research and found out that www.Sportwing.com now makes a kit for the 07 Outlander, even though it's not listed on their site yet. It comes pre-painted, just give them the paintcode from www.paintscratch.com and they match the color. I ordered mine on Sunday and it arrived on Friday. The color match is perfect and the shape fits nicely.

The kit is 4 pieces, cut at the correct angle for between the doors. They use 3M tape and provide 2 alcohol wipes, 2 Pro-Bond adhesive promotor bottles, and an instruction sheet that goes through the process and gives measurements. They call for 8 1/4" up from the black lower sill in front, and 9 1/4" in back. I found that to be a little low so I went 8 1/2 and 9 1/2.

The installation was quick and easy, it took me about 20 minutes max. Here are some photos:

Not bad. But my Outlander is already black, so I guess I can go with the OEM one for a few $ less. I think that deal is very good though for those with other colors. But I just wonder, it looks too low on the pics. I saw some pictures with OEM moldings on and it's mounted almost on the middle part of the door.
