I am doing a 1.8 to 2.0 swap in my 92 eclipse. i have the engine and all the electronics i need to do this. i heard that if the engine you are puttin in is from the same year that the wiring harness will still work. i also would like to know what would it take to turbo the 2.0? any tips or help i will greatly appreciate. thanks

and on turboing the 2.0. it depends on what you take the motor from, if you get the NA 2.0 then you need a full engine rebuild. I would suggest getting the motor from a turbo car so its basically all set for a turbo.

then your gonna need new pistons and rods for it, and then of course all the **** that comes with turbocharging (Turbo, manifold, downpipe, intercooler, piping, new intake, guages, ect.)

shadow_ryder, true it's not hard to make an engine turbo ready however it is QUITE pricey... i'm doing it now and regret every penny of it. trust me, take your time, fine a turbo'd engine. . . or else your lookin at total bottom end rebuild and everything else that TheEngineer mentioned... this is all assuming everything is ok w/ the engine to start with.

WOW so i guess i would be better off just leavin it non turbo. i heard that the 2.0's got plenty more power then the 1.8 so i think i will be happy. untill i win the lottery or somethin. thanks again for all the help.
