has anyone ever turboed 1.8. i know it wasn't done from factory.

yes, im sure people have turboed a 1.8 before, which is stupid, but im sure it has been done... blaze.. there was no point in that post...

why isn't therea point?

it just about the same as i probe turbo have you ever lined up with one because one with a little workwould take you in any quater mile anyday.

Ladies.

It wasnt a pointless post... but i havnt heard of anyone trying to turbo it. The price of buying a turbo eclipse is just cheaper

my thoughtwas. i can get the car from next to nothing put a junk yard turbo in ithave a perfect sleeper. then BLAZE GS and i can line them up and ill whip his GS AZZ. point proven

yea but still junk yard turbos are not that good, and some people will charge out the @$$ at their junk yard so they get more money.. and you will have to more than just bolt up a turbo, im sure you would needa new ECU so it will read different A/F mixture to compensate for the turbo.. Also im not sure if the 1.8 block and withstand a turbo..

the point is that even if you put a turbo on that car you wont be able to run any boost because the internals and the engine simply will not take to a turbo. Dont even bother

i understand. i think what i might just do is get a Nitrous Express wet kit a try it. i want one anyway but i rather blow up a 50 dollar car than my 7000 dollar car. so when it come time to put it on there it go a little smoother then mabey i'll have half a clue.
