I got the above car. It only has 120K miles on it but I have a couple of problems. First the idle is really getting to be a problem in hot weather. It dies frequently. Second it sort of "hesitates" like its running out of gas or air under hard acceleration. But its fine at 80 mph on the freeway. Sort of puzzled. The oil also seems to get dirty fast and I don't know if its the turbo or what. Other than that it runs fine and always starts. The spark plugs always look clean also. I know its an old car and am contemplating selliing it and getting another car. It also needs body work so overall its sort of a running wreck. If I could fix a couple of the major problems without spending a fortune in parts I might give it a shot. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Also is there any way to spread the power band w/o major mods? As most owners of these cars know...the power band is pretty small...ending at about 5500 rpm and beginning about 3200. That is only 2000 rpm or so.
