My friend's gas door never automatically popped open with the pull of the latch release on his eclipse since he got it and I took a look and there was no spring whatsoever in the hinge. I went to a junkyard and asked for the part and now he has the neat little piece of bent metal on a plastic clip but has no idea what to do with it. does anyone have a picture of their spring installed in their gas door so that i can send it to him to give some help? thanks in advance.

LOL Personally I would have just sprung for the $20 and get the sports door for it. Dunno where you'd find a pic of that online... Maybe someone could take one for you.
