i have a 1992 eclipse non turbo with an automatic transaxle.... the problem i am having is that the transmission is stuck in 4th gear and it wont downshift back to 1st 2nd or 3rd nomatter what i do,, ive checked the transmission fluid and it all seems to be fine....i was thingking it may be the transmission fluid not being filtered well enough so i may need another filter.....i also checked the throttle position sensor, it was supposed to read about 1.1k ohms -5.6k....it does seem to have some range to it but i dont know if that could be the problem ......any input would be very appreciated.....thx to all that have taken their time to read this thread.

that could be a problem with the TCM if they have one in that year. i havent worked much with the auto DSM's though. it should manually downshift though. could be an internal problem.
