I just bought a 93 Eclipse GS and am wanting to convert the rear drum brakes to disk brakes. Are there any recomendations on kits for this? Or if anyone else has done this swap and has any advice to offer, I'd appreciate it.

 

Umm I am pretty sure all 1g's have disc all the way around. (btw I havs owned 9 1g's and all have disc all way around)

 

i have a 90 it has disc on the rear there is the front big kit that you can get off the 93 3000GT haven't seen any unless the non turbos have drums not sure of that.

 

So I feel pretty dumb. Like I said, I just bought the car from an individual and he was telling me that rear drum breaks would need to be changed soon. Well right now the wheels have big nasty looking hubcaps and I couldnt see in there and I just took his word for it. But I seen the responses to my initial post and looked. Sure enough, disks. o_0

 

lol i was about to say...(befor i read the last post) i have a 90 (built in 89) and it has disk brakes all around and its 1.8

 

I bought a 2003 GS non-turbo and the rear brakes ARE drum brakes. Is there a conversion kit out there?

 

any luck with conversion kit?
